Would you consider the audio edition of Stormy Weather to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version of this book but the audio version was excellent. I was rather amazed that the author himself read the male parts. Mr Fenton not only knows how to write an engaging story but is a whizz with accents. His range runs from Scotsman to London businessman and all points in between quite remarkable for an author! Kara Addington has a super smooth sexy voice which enhances the erotic nature of the book. Her vocalisation of the characters mirrors and compliments Mr Fenton's perfectly. The build up to the erotic scenes was both well excecuted and perfectly judged growing to a creshendo, never "In your face".What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the slow build up to the story taking us from mercantile London to the restaurants and sights of New York City, seamlessly and logically. The abundance of detail was fascinating and informative but never crossed that fine line towards being an instructional piece.Which scene did you most enjoy?
It would be more accurate to describe a scene I did not enjoy.... Sorry couldn't find one.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My emotional engagement was totally immersive. From the well written dialogue to the erotic later scenes. Mr Fenton's choice of New York locations drove the action along in a natural style and his detailed descriptions of locations, ranging from Central Park to the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station demonstrates clearly the abilities of the author to research and describe places that would seem to have significance to him. It certainly made me want to visit and explore the City.Any additional comments?
I am not usually a lover of semi-dramatised books generally preferring the comfort and familiarity of a single voice reading the entirety of the book but this was the exception which broke the rule. I look forward to another rendition from Fenton and Addington.New York Exposed.
