I read this as part of the Brooklyn Bruisers series, not the True North series, which at some point I do plan on circling back to read.

But the second chance vacation surprise baby story between Dave and Zara was hot, funny and cute as all heck.

Another spectacular audiobook from Sarina Bowen. I think we can now all agree that I am a bit obsessed with this series at the moment,because I just cannot stop listening to them. Each story is just so riveting and book 4 is no different...I LOved Zara and Dave's story. We all know Zara from previous books as she used to hook up with Griffin before he met Audrey..His rejection kind of crushes her.She is well known for being a bit of a wild child,she had a reputation in high school,she wasn't the kind of girl men wanted for a relationship just a roll in the sack. Dave is a professional Hockey player on vacation he goes to the bar were Zara works every night just to see the captivating woman who has grabbed his attention,she is sassy and fiesty and he wants her. Dave does not do relationships his view on them is skewed because of his childhood and crappy father. He is only here for 8 weeks anyway before Hockey takes over his life again. Zara manages the bar and notices the sexy red head muscled hottie who arrives every night at the bar,but he never makes a move until one night..Zara needs some comfort after an encounter with an ass of a customer..she lets her guards down and they have a passionate night together. Zara has no clue Dave plays Hockey for a living but she knows he is not here permanently and will go back to wherever it is he comes from in a matter of weeks. One night between them turns into many nights until what was supposed to be one night stand turns into a fling..But its just sex or so they keep telling themselves. So why is that when its time for DAVE to leave it is so difficult for them both. Zara thinks she will never see him again the man who has awakened her heart..he departs quietly one morning not realising he is not only leaving Zara but his unborn child. Yes this is a surprise pregnancy trope as Zara is left with such a cute surprise 9 months later a baby girl named Nicole but there is no way of letting Dave know because she knows nothing about him. ...Two years pass and Dave is back in town with some of his team mates on Vacation again...He never forgot Zara and secretly hopes he will see her again. But when he does he gets more than he bargained for. This story is just so adorable I must have swooned multiple times over Dave and his daughter Nicole..His character changes so much during this story..he turn from carefree,playboy,non commitment guy to a loving devoted father and partner...I loved his exchanges with Nicole and Zara as he gets to know them both properly. Zara changes too she is such a great Mum and buisness owner she proves everyone wrong by becoming a strong independent woman and good role model for Nicole..she also learns how to except help and to trust. The Narration for this book is FANTASTIC Teddy Hamilton and Seraphine Valentine are exceptional ,I loved the way they easily traversed between Male to female and even doing a babies voice..They were so incredibly brilliant,I LOVED listening to them. Bountiful is a book that held my attention throughout,and I adored Dave,Zara and Nicole..the romance between Dave and Zara was both sweet and steamy it had me feeling a little bit emotional too. It is one of the best surprise pregnancy books I have read because there wasn't any bitterness between the characters..Dave stands up to his responsibilty quite quickly after the shock of course...and there isn't any break ups I love the way Dave falls first and trys to find solutions to the obstacles they face. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and Sarina Bowen's writing is beautiful and sexy and basically all consuming. I LOVED it ! It is Wonderful. 5 Stars
