A Lucille Von Shard Audiobook

An Imperial propagandist meets the flying ace legend he created, to prepare her for the most difficult battle of her storied career.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

This novel offers insight into some of the lesser-known, but no less important, aspects of the Imperial war machine – the agents who move in the shadows to rouse and inspire the masses of soldiers across every branch of the war effort.

THE STORY

Flight Commander Lucille von Shard: Hero of Bacchus, fighter ace, and a living legend heralded for her valour and piety. Propagandist Kile Simlex, responsible for her fame, shares none of this renown. Condemned to the ignominy of a scribe’s cubicle cell, his chance at liberation comes as a cryptic vid message claiming to be from Shard herself, requesting his aid.

Under the von Shard family’s patronage, Simlex journeys to Deighton, a world in open rebellion from the Imperium, where he finds the commander a shadow of her former self. Near broken by eternal war, her confidence and reputation crumbling, Shard must somehow steel herself for her deadliest battle yet, against a xenos mercenary of unparalleled skill. Can Simlex help her overcome this near-invincible enemy, or merely watch as she is finally defeated?

It is great to meet these characters again a propagandist a pilot and a mechanic. seeing how the events of the first book changed them and getting to meet new characters some family some friends and lots of enemies. this is a compelling adventure with a mystery at the heart of it that is very compelling and the leaves you with the need to know how the situations are resolved. Who lives, who dies and how will our heroes defeat the God Emperor's enemies.
A a must read if you enjoyed the original adventures of one Lucille von shard and her propagandist.

A fantastic follow up to the original book.

I started this title because I like flying and Warhammer. first book was good but with this 2nd book I find myself heavily invested in the characters, story and the tangle which needs to be solved. it is rare to find a second book or a movie which surpasses the first one but this book does it.

continuation and progression of the story

Amazing, as always - best WH40K prose I've ever read. Looking forward to more books about Lucille!!

a great follow on from outgunned, both epics in there own right, this book shows both the main Characters in a slightly different light slightly more cynical, and emotionally intense, but still with that push of action and adventure!

They need to continue the series!

This book follows on and is a great attentive perspective. Strong cast, good voice acting, good twists and a less of the typical fare but refreshing for breaking the mould.

Damaged charceters, veterans and civilian alike, doing their best to face the past and the current threats they face. and a new kind of foe that's not just a soldier.

A rarely seen Perspective on the Imperium.
