A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

He is Fulgrim's champion, the Soulthief, and the Scion of Chemos. His name is whispered and cursed across both time and space, a peerless blademaster who even death cannot threaten. He is Lucius the Eternal, blessed by Slaanesh and the greatest swordsman of all the fell Legions imprisoned within the Eye of Terror.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

He's died a thousand times, but for Lucius the Eternal, there's something worse than death on the horizon unless he can control the forces that threaten to annihilate all that he has worked to build.

THE STORY

With his armies exhausted by unending war and consumed by their own twisted iniquities, Lucius turns to an erstwhile brother of the Emperor's Children to rebuild his strength. Faced with betrayal from without and even from within his own flesh, will Lucius discover something that even one who cannot know death should fear?

made me enjoy how each of the emperors children approached their devotion to slannesh and how they gave each one a very distinct and unique mental visual image

gave Lucius more character than I thought he had

The book is really good at showing Lucius side of the Emperors children, and with all the cool side characters and guest appearances it is a good time worth every penny

almost weird it took this long for this book to get an audio book, but i am so happy that they got John Banks to read it, as a fan of the Bile trilogy banks is a personal favorite.

the perfect emperors children slice of life book

Although fairly short, the book sets up a cohort of interesting characters like the composer and Lucius and explores the treachery of being devoted to the youngest god.

One of the best EC novels

Following multiple characters (but mostly Lucius) this book gives you the perspective of what it is like to not only be The Eternal one himself, but also what it is like to be a mortal slave underneath the 3rd legion

A exquisite excessive tale
