Cat Myth

As devoted cat owners, we want the best for our feline companions. For many of us, that love translates into small daily rituals: the sound of a can popping open, the meticulous measuring of kibble, or the quiet satisfaction of watching our cat enjoy their meal. We make these choices carefully, assuming we’re doing right by them. After all, nutrition is one of the most basic, tangible ways we show love.

In Top Ten Cat Myths Debunked: Separating Feline Fact from Fiction, author and feline behaviour expert Maeve Callen dismantles the ten most persistent—and potentially harmful—beliefs about cats. After a short time, the cat tells her housemate that one of her relations has given birth and that the mouse's friend has been asked to be godmother. Instead of going to a christening, though, the cat goes to the nook of the church and eats the top layer of the fat in the pot.
