We've all heard the saying, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade," but what if the lemonade leaves a sour expression on your face? That’s what Dani wonders until the day she receives two perfect presents. Instead of letting life’s glitches set her back, Dani prevails. Ryker had only one aspiration when he left his hometown eight years ago, to be prosperous, but that blew up in his face when the love of his life left town.

My life has been nothing but a constellation of conflict. Dad died when I was 12, check. Mom died of cancer just before my 18th birthday, check. Married a conceited pretty boy, check. Husband decided that our nine-year marriage was an open marriage but forgot to tell me, check. Moved to Cumming, Georgia, to be closer to my Southern Chaotic family, check. Became infatuated with a man-wh*re who has no problem with being an exhibitionist, check. For once, I’d like to have a life that is planned out by me and not the people or ordeals that clash with the life I want.

Everyone’s perception of an MC princess is that she’s cherished and protected, but this MC "princess" was left to the wolves. My father, the loved Southern Chaotic president, dropped me like a bad habit when I was 13. My mother went off her rocker when I was 14. I had my first of many abortions when I was 15. Life for me was a whirlwind of angst and torment, but through all of that, the pain took the fear away and replaced it with yearning. I thirst for gratification that I’m not a replication of my legacy.

Thinking I’d eventually have it all f--ked me more than accepting I’d be no more than the ridiculous biker whose only gift was causing havoc on my brothers. I’ve had my eyes set on Sadie since I realized a boner wasn’t a medical condition, but one hell of a good time. She was it for me. After nine years of chasing and three years of being her buddy behind closed doors, she gave me the proverbial boot. I suppose I should've realized we’d have nothing more than a good time in the bedroom and a few laughs with friends. She was it for me...or so I thought.

I crave attention. It’s not frowned upon to want someone’s love and affection, but it is when you know that you’ll never return the same for another person. He loved me every day for nine years. He gave me everything I asked for. His affection was only for me. But when he wanted a stable position in our relationship, I couldn’t give it, because there were some many others that could offer the same. I didn’t want to settle. Or at least I didn’t think I did, until I learned he was getting married.
