The stars are within reach as rival megacorporations DeCorp and EnerCon have made interstellar travel possible and space flight available to the masses. But, when an industrial accident inside DeCorp sets off a catastrophic chain of events, all of Earth is at risk. Meanwhile, Kaytha Morrow receives a cryptic message from her late aerospace engineer father, leading her and fellow pilot Taft Gaurdia to a shocking discovery. But excitement turns to fear as the global evacuation begins, and Kaytha realizes the significance of what they've found.

Earth is nothing but a memory for the former flight mechanic turned reluctant hero Taft Gaurdia, and the girl he loves, the determined Kaytha Morrow. On the run and gathering the evidence she needs, Luna is pushed to her limits.

After their daughter Luna gambled with the enemy, Taft, Kaytha, and a hobbled together resistance find themselves at a loss to fight back against the growing threat from the planet Kentaurus. With the former DeCorp factions now in league with the Kentauri military, there is seemingly nothing standing in their way of taking complete control of the colonized worlds.
