And the companion (Consort) was Mary of Magdala (Mary Magdalene). The Lord loved Mary more than all the other disciples and he kissed her often on her mouth (the text is missing here and the word "mouth" is assumed). The others saw his love for Mary and asked him: "Why do you love her more than all of us?" The Savior replied, "Why do I not love you in the same way I love her?" (The Gospel of Philip)

Among the first seven scrolls discovered in the caves of Qumran at the Dead Sea is a scroll given the name "The Book of Giants". It is thought to have been based on the Book of Enoch, a pseudepigraphical Jewish work from the third century BCE. The Book of Giants, like the Book of Enoch, concerns itself with the Nephilim, which are the offspring of fallen angels, who are called the Watchers. Two main versions of the text exist. The Dead Sea version is written in Aramaic.

Yoga is divided into several branches, ranging from that which teaches the control of the body, to that which teaches the attainment of the highest spiritual development. In the work we will not go into the higher phases of the subject, except when the "science of breath" touches upon the same. The Science of Breath touches yoga at many points, and although chiefly concerned with the development and control of the physical, has also its psychic side, and even enters the field of spiritual development.

A recovered fin-de-siècle work on Satan, magic, the Church, and the forbidden life beneath official history. In 2020, a lyric from Jay Electronica’s “Ghost of Soulja Slim” sent Dennis Logan searching for the phrase Synagogue of Satan. What first appeared to belong to the familiar world of modern conspiracy literature led instead to a rare German text by Polish modernist writer Stanisław Przybyszewski: Die Synagoge des Satan, first published in 1897.

The Apocryphon, or "Secrets" of John forms the cornerstone of Gnostic mythology and cosmology. In this text we are introduced to the major entities of creation and lordship. We learn how the universe, including earth and man, came into being. The origin of evil, the creator god, and the material world are explained in detail. The story seems to be a mixture of various belief systems, including those of Plato, who seems to have borrowed freely from the format of Greek mythology, and Christianity. The story is loosely based on Genesis chapters one through 13 as a timeline.

The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, first published in 1908 by Levi H. Dowling, stands as one of the most enduring works of modern spiritual apocrypha. Presented as a transcription from the Akashic Records—the esoteric archive of all human thought, action, and possibility—the text seeks to illuminate the “hidden years” of Jesus’ life not recorded in canonical Scripture.

The Kebra Nagast stands as one of the most revered and spiritually potent works in the Christian world—a foundational text of Ethiopian identity and a testament to a lineage believed to descend from the union of King Solomon of Israel and Makeda, the Queen of Sheba. More than a historical chronicle, it is a sacred epic, preserved through centuries by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, weaving together divine providence, royal authority, and the unfolding destiny of a nation chosen to safeguard one of the holiest treasures of antiquity.

Early Christians quoted them. The Dead Sea Scrolls preserved them. The Ethiopian Church canonized them. Yet most modern readers have never opened their pages. This compendium gathers four of the most influential extrabiblical texts—1 Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher, and the fragmentary Book of Giants—complete with scholarly introductions and line-by-line annotations from acclaimed author-editor Joseph Lumpkin.

With this solemn warning, The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage opens not as a simple grimoire, but as a profound covenantal text. Composed in the 15th century and later translated by S. The Book of the Law (Liber AL vel Legis) is one of the most influential and controversial spiritual texts of the modern era. First received in Cairo in 1904, it has shaped movements, inspired artists, unsettled institutions, and resisted explanation for more than a century. This edition presents the text without commentary. The core work appears here exactly as transmitted, without annotation, interpretation, or doctrinal guidance. No effort is made to explain the verses or resolve their meaning. The text stands alone.

Aradia remains one of the most influential and mysterious works ever written on la vecchia religione, the Old Religion of pre-Christian Italy. In this seminal text, folklorist Charles Godfrey Leland preserves the mythic narrative, ritual language, and liturgical practices of a tradition in which Diana is the primordial Goddess and Aradia (Herodias) is her incarnate daughter, teacher, and liberator. Witchcraft here is not superstition but a sacred inheritance, carried by the marginalized and kept alive through an unbroken thread of devotion.

Leadbeater, this groundbreaking text proposes a bold idea: thoughts are not abstractions—they are real, structured, energetic entities that shape both our inner life and the world around us.
