It was only when he found that he was being manipulated by a rogue artificial intelligence that Kurt realized how far afield his journey had taken him.

After the Challenge of the Ithkari, everything had fallen apart for Kurt and his friends. As his game world and real life collided, he had all but walked away from the world of Darklands Online entirely. The departure was short-lived, however, as one last mystery presented itself. Embroiled in a new plot with a promise he cannot refuse, Kurt must make his way back to the city of Wester while enlisting the aid of those players he has met along the way.
