All sumo wrestlers deal with injury. But when you're at the top, the pressure to get back in the ring and win is enormous. Both yokozuna, Onosato and Hoshoryu, feel that pressure. Onosato's tears after his last yusho illustrate that pressure. Hoshoryu's apologies also show the pressure he's under.

So, we looked at earlier yokozuna, especially the ones that "under performed." The ones who dealt with injury. What was demanded of them? How did they fare? How much time were they afforded before they were "encouraged" to retire? Realistically, how much time does Hoshoryu have to get back into fighting shape?

The thrill of close competition. The way it all came down to the final match. The emotions of it all.

We start by reading a little something from our Sumo BINGO winners. And, then we get right to each day's sumo 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. Did we like the basho? Of course we did.

Asasuiryu likes to clean toilets daily during a basho. Toshinofuji likes Bruno Mars. I mean, could these two be any more unique? Both are new to the top division, so we took deep dives into who they are and what their stories are. Enjoy!

He's a wrestler from Mongolia, and he has connections to yokozuna Chiyonofuji. Chiyonofuji had VERY nice things to say about Chiyoshoma, and Chiyoshoma still reads notes from Chiyonofuji on his phone. He's interested in reading and fashion. Yes. Fashion.

He's a wrestler in the Isegahama stable, and he did well in July's tournament, so what can we expect from him? We know random things about this sumo wrestler - dad of twins, friendly rival of Midorifuji and Onosho (remember him?), a guy with lots of injuries and a wonderful singing voice. At least we know how he got his sumo ring name.
