  • Episode 116 - Stepping Into The Zone is East Blue Ace Head BB Coach Coach Whitten
    Mar 6 2024
In this episode I have the pleasure of talking with Wichita East High Basketball Coach Coach Whitten. Yes the same East Boys team that traveled to Junction City to knock of one of the favorites to possibly win a 6A title. Then turned around and went into enemy territory and knocke off Wichita South in grand fashion on a buzzer beater by 6'3" senior guard Manuel Martinez to punch there ticket to the State Tournament. Also I take a look at a story about a player who just 3 years ago was told he'd probably wouldn't play contact sports again but as a junior on Derby's boys team Jack Ulwelling is a story of one who did not let his setback set him back. Then I close out with Dartmouth men's basketball becoming the first to unionize. Will this be the new norm of college athletics as we know it?

  • Episode 111 - In The Zone With Anthony
    Jan 24 2024
After 43 games a 30-13 record wasn't good enough for on Adrian Griffin to keep his job as the Milwaukee Bucks decided to part ways with the 1st year coach and bring in Doc Rivers. Question is can Doc get them to the promised land based on his playoff track record as a coach. Everybody wants out of Dallas. Well, that depends. Of course CeeDee Lamb's mother says Dak needs to get his a** out of there or her son needs to be allowed to escape to her home town Houston and be paired with C.J. Stroud. Then there's Micah Parsons brother who says the team has committed criminal acts against his brother which leads me to Tad. Dak Prescott's brother who says if he could he would get his brother out of Dallas. Says he's done with the drama in Dallas. Problem what they don't realize is they the fans/relatives create the drama. And why hasn't the greatest coach been interviewed outside of Atlanta? All Bill Belichick has done is win 302 regular season games, 31 playoff victories, 20 double digit win seasons, 17 divisional titles, nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Vince Lombardi Trophies.
