Audiobook read.

This edition to the zodiac academy is all fun and games until it’s not. I loved listening to Tori and Darcy getting their revenge on the guys. This book really tickled me and the ending was explosive. I’m totally hooked on this series.

This is the second book in the Zodiac Academy series. The Heirs are willing to do whatever it takes to get Tory and Darcy to leave the Academy. Darcy and Tory are trying to figure out the clues in the back of the tarot cards. The girls are learning more about being a Fae and Nymphs. Hopefully in the third book some of the guys will start coming around. Bridget and Jake Bordeaux did a phenomenal job narrating this book.

Things get more intense in Ruthless Fae as the Heirs continue on with the bullying and after how the previous book ended I really thought they had managed to succeed in breaking the Twins and scaring them away. But the Twins fight back the only way they can and end up hitting the arrogant self-absorbed heirs exactly where it hurts most. Tory and Darcy has been pushed to their limits and rather than buckling they finally fae up.

They have grown up with nothing, never fitting in, never having friends just having each other. Whilst the boys are similar in reliance to each other they just can't handle the comments and the pranks as well as the girls. They've been brought up having everything, always getting what they want and it was so good to watch the girls knock them down a peg or two.It shows how much stronger and better Tory and Darcy would be as future Queens.

The end of The Awakening filled me with so much rage I literally wanted to throw my phone at them. I wanted to be able to grab my own stardust to portal to Solaria and slap those Heirs so hard they were seeing more than just stars! The Heirs are used to be loved, as the future leaders of the kingdom, fae everywhere would never even think of showing them up or going against them until Tory and Darcy.

Despite the continuing bulling the Twins take it in their stride, letting it slide right off and and their friendship with Geraldine begins to blossom and i just love her character development in this book. She's portrayed as the crazy, obsessed Vega Heir fan and whilst she still is one she shows that she's more like the Twins than you first think as she helps them get back at the Heirs and keeps their secrets. In Geraldine the girls find a true friend something they are not used to having which I just love.And the way Tory speaks to that douchebag Dragon Lionel was sublime!

Jake and Bridget did a fantastic job, I felt like I was able to connect with the characters they were portraying on a much deeper level than I ever had before.

If you love feisty females who aren't afraid to show the males who's boss the pick up this book! ZA is an experience everyone needs to have!

I enjoyed this book way more than book 1. The story is still flowing really well and the characters development is so much better. Heading into book 3 now.
