Sometimes the author writes with style and flare, but very often I just found myself listening to endless dates and places with no passion or presence. For me it was a good start to a long journey but don't expect a nail-biter.

Informative if mundane at times

The book is a perfect example of quantity over quality. It's a giant information dump without proper organization or depth, rambling from one topic to another.
The reader's pronunciation is hard to understand because it's British/Australian (can't tell) and all names of historical people and places are completely botched.
It's not entertaining and it's not informative. I do not recommend this book.
