About this listen

The Hidden Legacy series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Ilona Andrews continues as Nevada and Rogan navigate a world where magic is the norm…and their relationship burns hot

Nevada Baylor has a unique and secret skill—she knows when people are lying—and she's used that magic (along with plain, hard work) to keep her colorful and close-knit family's detective agency afloat. But her new case pits her against the shadowy forces that almost destroyed the city of Houston once before, bringing Nevada back into contact with Connor ""Mad"" Rogan.

Rogan is a billionaire Prime—the highest rank of magic user—and as unreadable as ever, despite Nevada’s “talent.” But there’s no hiding the sparks between them. Now that the stakes are even higher, both professionally and personally, and their foes are unimaginably powerful, Rogan and Nevada will find that nothing burns like ice …

I'm afraid the narrator wasn't my cup of tea. She made the character sound like she was on the verge of tears or falling asleep or was just pathetic. There were also lots of strange pauses in the middle of sentences, like the recording had been paused and then picked up again but without remembering the correct intonation or pace. I love Ilona Andrews but really can't warm to the narrator sadly.

Ilona Andrews is great, narrator not so much...

This is a fantastic sequel to Burn For Me. The story moves at a fast pace but never leaves you lost! There is plenty of action throughout and the two main characters really develop in a way that has you invested in them 100%.

On top of the exciting storyline is the sexual tension between Nevada and Rogan. This book is an absolute favourite of mine and I keep re-listening to the trilogy whenever I get a chance.

The narrator is fantastic as always. Not a bad word to say about the performance at all, it is brilliant.

Gripping, fast paced action with passion!

I love the first three books in the series, have lost count of how many times I have re-read them. Nevada and Connor are great characters but I love all the others too, they are so well blended in the stories

So good

The story is a great follow up to Burn For Me...this series is action packed, keeps you guessing and also romantic. The authors can't seem to write anything but total page turner....I've read the book and listened to audio...the narrator is excellent, makes each voice so individual you don't think it's the same person...she was also used for all the Kate Daniels series and was just as amazing....please try this book because you will not be disappointed....

Amazing, Exciting and Unmissable

I am an Ilona Andrews fan and will always try anything written by this partnership. I don't think I've yet found a book I don't like, though some series are better than others. The magic in the Hidden Legacy series is vague, rather illogical and lacks depth, unlike in the Kate Daniels world but still creates an interesting setting. I found the plot overcomplicated and the sex scenes so tedious I skipread but really enjoyed the characters, their development and the elements of humour in the book. Renee Raudman is a brilliant narrator and perfect for the Andrews series.

A little too convoluted at times
