This is the second book in the series and we are starting to see more about the devastation caused by the bug apocalypse and how the Xarc'n warriors have been treated since their arrival. This is Natalie and Rajiv'k's story and you can see how well they are matched with similar interests and needs. Rajiv'k is enamored with sassy Natalie and has offered to help heal her leg and they make a deal. As they work together to help the colony that is trying to survive, they both like to come up with inventions and ideas, they encounter prejudice and hate which causes Rajiv'k to make a decision to protect Natalie no matter what, even if it hurts them both. Brought to life by the amazing narration, you can actually believe you are there with them as they do battle with the bugs and those who have decided to believe the rhetoric that the Xarc'n's are the enemy. Weel deserving of the 5 stars.
