Another beautifully narrated story, this is Tarv'k and Evie's story and I loved it. After everything that has happened to Evie she would like what the other women have, a Xarc'n warrior to love, and she has her eyes set on Tarv'k. Determined to get her Xarc'n she realises that subtlety is getting her nowhere and goes for the direct approach. Tarv'k would like nothing more than to be with Evie, but he is older than the other hunters and fears that he is too old for the mate bond to occur and feels that Evie should go for a younger hunter. Her frustration at Tarv'k is high, but she is determined and Tarv'k won't know what's hit him. When Evie's past comes back to haunt her and she is kidnapped, Tarv"k realises that the mate bond isn't everything, but Evie is, and he will do whatever it takes to get her back and into his arms. I love the narration by Troy and Kiera and the dual POV. You really do feel as if you are there with them. This series gets better and better.
