Nikki wants to escape her husband who she now loathes. Out for himself and in order to get what he wants he has been trying to trade her body. Disgusted, she tries to run and finds herself in the arms of the Xarc'n warrior the men captured. Koriv'n knows in his heart that Nikki is his mate and in order to rescue her he has to be captured. Nikki doesn't believe the stories the government put out about the warriors and she feels safe with him so they agree to walk back to his compound. Together they find themselves fighting bugs and hiding from the men who are angry that they have escaped. Koriv'n tells Nikki what she is to him, but it turns out he will have to give her time and court her. When Koriv'n is injured keeping Nikki safe, she realizes what he means to her, but it may be too late. Another beautifully narrated story by Troy and Kiera. I could listen to their voices all day. Jam-packed with drama, this steamy read has all that you would expect from this series and more.
