Thrilling
Victoria is a brilliantly composed romantic suspense with phenomenal characters. Even though this the first book in the Lt. Kate Gazzara series, I've read/listened to, I still enjoyed it. The only thing that I seemed to have missed was a bit of history regarding the series. Blair Howard does the terrific job with introducing the characters and their background. The premise of the storyline is engaging with enough suspense, twists, and turns to keep you wholly engrossed.
The narration by Renée Maxwell is outstanding; she captured the nuances of the characters, emotions, and intensity. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen, and I'll recommend to romantic suspense listeners. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook at my request, and my unbiased review is voluntarily given.

Does Kate and Janet ever have a tough one!
My goodness this book is a little on the violent side, so I hope you don't have a queasy stomach! Kate is finally able to get a good one on Chief Finkle and you won't believe what happens! As a Christian, I know that the type of case Kate has this time is capable of happening. I pray that those men that would deceive the people they are supposed to be leading will find true repentance and in a humble way ask for forgiveness and go forward in truth. Not just for what happens in this book but for any sin that would deceive. None of us are perfect and I sometimes get upset about this kind of book because there are some that love to use any excuse to point fingers. I didn't see the ending until we were just about there and the last few words will make you laugh and say Ya Right! Another great Kate Gazzara book and I really like her partner Janet, she is such a little go getter!
