“Through her smooth, dramatic performance, award-winning actor Rosamund Pike amplifies the new audiobook of book one in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.”—BookPage on Eye of the World (Earphones Award winner)

The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

In The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor now wields the sword Callandor. He is both the Champion of Light and the Dragon Reborn. Now, he seeks answers to another prophecy that lies with the warrior people known as the Aiel to put him on the path of learning how to wield the One Power.

Accompanied by Moiraine Damodred, Rand arrives at the Aiel Waste and is granted permission by the Wise Ones to enter the sacred city of Rhuidean. After passing through a doorframe ter'angreal, Moiraine gains foresight while the Aiel await Rand's return, either with both arms marked by dragon symbols, validating his identity as He Who Comes With the Dawn, the Chief of Chiefs of all the Aiel—or to never emerge at all.

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. The last six books in series were all instant #1 New York Times bestsellers, and The Eye of the World was named one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read.

Rosamund Pike is better than everybody else. I'm being really selfish, but I wish that they were all read by her! 👍

Nothing compares

Another enjoyable instalment. I thought it was drifting for a while in the middle but the end section was a good one. Excellent narration, I’m not sure I can bring myself to listen to other narrators of the series but can I wait for another new reading?

Rosamund is great again!

Rosamund Pike was absolutely fantastic as usual. She breathes life into all of the characters. I've read this book seven times over the years. This was the first time Perrin's return to Emonds Field had me on the verge of tears. It's all down to the narration.

Rand and Mat's visit to Rhuidean is one of my favourite parts of the journey. Rand's time with Aviendha can be amusing. Lanfear lurks as usual and perhaps is actually helpful for a change. Not that anyone with a functional braincell would trust her. Egwene spends time with the Aiel Wise Ones, learning to navigate the dreamworld safely whilst the Daughter-Heir and Nynaeve continue with their hunting for the Black Ajah.

A flipping brilliant story expertly read by Rosamund Pike. I cannot wait for her to do The Fires of Heaven.

Rand, Perrin and Mat start to grow into the roles the wheel desires for them.

I've never read the WOT books before (i dont know how) but hearing them for the first time under the mastery of Rosamund Pikes narration has been such a joy. This has been the best book so far. Looking forward to the next one.

Excellent
