...that awful narration! I literally could not listen to more of these stories just because of the narrator - I am amazed how mispronounciation of words slipped through checks (I mean, audio must be checked, surely?) and the accents the poor woman has to attempt are cringeworthy - a cornish accent is a bizarre mix of Irish, Scots and cockney; you can almost feel the poor woman cringing at herself! Such a shame, as Shapiro's stories are well written.

Another great listen, my only criticism is some of the pronunciation by the narrator, with the one that sticks in the mind being 'Pasty' (as in 'nasty') which she pronounces as 'Pastey' as in 'tasty'!

Spoiler at end : IV enjoyed this series and the radmond and haze books before but this is the first time iv hated the ending, the main couple gets there happy ending of course but jack I believe they should have tried to save and he got left and that ruined it for me :( he was like a son to him and named in his will but he didn't beg the guy to help him save jack or send someone once home to find him? he has money :( I just find it sad

Good story spoilt by American trying (and failing) to pronounce English words. If you can get over that then the story is good.
