About this listen

The electrifying fourth installment in the Bridge Kingdom series.

Newly crowned as king, Keris has watched, powerless, as his forbidden relationship with Zarrah is revealed. But when Zarrah is imprisoned by the empress, Keris knows there is only one way to save her: to ally with the kingdom he nearly destroyed.

Imprisoned on the dreaded Devil’s Island, Zarrah faces two choices: prove her loyalty to the empress who condemned her or die a traitor. Yet as she struggles to survive among violent prisoners, Zarrah uncovers a third path: a rebellion to overthrow tyranny entwined with a destiny she must fight to claim.

While the empress plots a war with devastating consequences, Keris and Zarrah must find their way back to each other. Yet their greatest adversary is the fiery passion between them. Unless they overcome the bitterness of betrayal, their love will not be the bringer of peace but rather the fuel that turns the Endless War into an inferno.

Really enjoyed the continuation of this world and Keris and Zara's story, and seeing old faves is always nice! I'm looking forward to seeing where this world takes us next.

Loving this world!

This is one of my favourite series and I have desperately been waiting for the conclusion of Keris and Zarrah's story and it did not disappoint!

Everything I needed it to be!

Listen, it's been and still is incredibly tough to curb my negative comments but ugh! Just a few things: 1) so predictable. The moment Keris asked Sarhina to keep his throne for him, I knew how it was gonna end. I'm not entirely complaining, Sarhina is my favorite Veliant sister. I love to see the crown for her. 2) all that preparation for a war that never happened? where was the final war? Petra should've died by Zarrah's hands in a one-to-one duel in the battlefield. The rebellion and the Maridrinians and the Ithicanians didn't all rally for nothing! :'(
3) Lara Veliant, aka another badass FL ruined by pregnancy. Keris went to get HER to help Zarrah's escape, and yet all she did in the long run was kill Birmin and be pregnant. I won't except this. Sarhina was pregnant too, but that didn't stop her from being incredible in the Traitor Queen.
I guess I had too high expectations. TTQ remains the best book in the series.

You know what I loved? The mention of the marriage knives that the Maridrinian women keep. Not only for decoration, but sharp. Ready. I thought we'd forgotten about that little detail. So glad we had it back for a brief, epic moment that made me burst out in gooseflesh. Overall, it was the little touches that made the story.

P.S Ahnna annoys me more and more every book, though. I don't think I wanna come back to this universe to see the hardened princess fall in love :/

Twas nice

Really enjoyed watching both finally become united and in peace. Also enjoyed the focus on the male main character, but wished another turn of events regarding her dedication to him.

Excellent audiobook but the start is the story

Loved this fourth book in the series. Great plot twists and world building. My favourite character has to be Keris.
My only complaint that the inner dialogues the characters had with themselves was a bit too much sometimes, making them sound crazy.
Can’t wait to see what the next installments have in store. If you like fantasy books, romance and battles then this is a great fast paced read.

Great fast paced read.
