In The Dragon Reborn, the third novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Rand al’Thor undertakes a journey to prove himself worthy of being the Champion of Light.

Winter has stopped the war—almost—yet men are dying, calling out for the Dragon. But where is he?

Rand al’Thor has been proclaimed the Dragon Reborn. Traveling to the great fortress known as the Stone of Tear, he plans to find the sword Callandor, which can only be wielded by the Champion of Light, and discover if he truly is destined to battle The Dark One. Following Rand, Moiraine and their friends battle Darkhounds on the hunt, hoping they reach the Heart of the Stone in time for the next great test awaiting the Dragon Reborn.

Critic reviews

Jordan writes with the stark vision of light and darkness, and sometimes childlike sense of wonder, that permeates J. R. R. Tolkien's works. His style is undebatedly his own.”—The Pittsburgh Press

“Large and splendid. The saga reaches a new level of emotional impact.”—Chicago Sun-Times

Once again amazing performance by Rosamund Pike

This story was once again made better by Rosamund performance that has such a calming and relaxing way of reading. She gives the characters enough individuality and depth for you to be able to distinguish them.

The story line was very much what is expected from such a long fantasy series. enough developments to keep you going but still so much to be answered.

Superior to the other reading

Fantastic narration. I was a fan of the original narrators but Rosamund Pike is my favorite now.

Another excellent performance

Rosamund Pike is just phenomenal again. The story is a good continuation. If you're in the 3rd book, you know what sort of thing you're getting already. But the narration is just 👌

Rosamund deserves all the credit

I tried listening to the original recording made years ago, but they have nothing on Rosamund. I will without a doubt buy the entire series if she records all the books.

The story is long, and sometimes dragged out - but the narration of it made me keep going.

This is the only series where 26-28 hours of listening doesn't scare me off.

Rosamond Pike is incredible

The story itself gets more interesting and involved as the perspective moves from Rand to the wider cast of characters. But what makes this audiobook awesome is Pike's virtuoso performance. She brings the books to life in the most impressive way. Colour me impressed
