Doesn’t work as an audio book

Rather disappointed on 2 fronts.

I had hoped for this to be a guide to memory improvement but it was really just a guide to memory.

To be fair, if I’d read and understood the title, perhaps I wouldn’t have been disappointed but, shame on me, I expected more.

There were, indeed, one or two helpful tips on helping to improve memory, but these were not easy to follow in an audio book. At one point, you are asked about memorising a very long sequence of numbers - almost impossible without seeing them written down. There should have been a downloadable worksheet or similar. There are also references to earlier parts of the book: how do you work going back with an audio book?

Definitely the wrong book for me.

It's okay

More focused on memorising lists of numbers than improving day to day memory. I wanted to improve remembering what people tell me about themselves and their plans, this is very lightly covered but it does give some tips.

therefore for me it is not really a "complete guide to memory" as I think most people want to improve this day to day memory, rather than memorising long lists of numbers etc.

This became a book I had to push through to finish. Has some quite stodgy parts.

It is a topic I find very interesting but can't say this book inspired me or added much more to my existing (recreational) knowledge.
