Disappointed!

The first hour was very interesting but if you're on a plant based diet, trying to reduce your carbon footprint on the planet, this book is NOT for you! The author encourages his readers to incorporate all kinds of animal products and even mentions seal meat and shark meat. This book is definitely NOT for ethical eaters and it should be mentioned in the summary so we don't waste our money and time.

Excellent Gut Biome review.

Enough facts and research to help cut through 'popular myths'. An exciting topic where new understanding of how what e eat affects our health and wellbeing. Though there are several books now available, all agree a diet including a diverse range of plant species (30+, from nuts, seeds, grains, different colours of fruit and veg, fungi, tofu, tea, coffe herbs and spices) is going to support a diverse range of gut biota, which in turn produce chemicals to support our health.
This book and the clever guts diet recipe books, provides a reason, and an approach to adjust ones diet towards better health and wellbeing. Though I don't seem to have food intolerances, or other health issues, it does provide guidance to those with IBS (and other watching FODMAP foods) on how to test new foods and gradually broaden diversity of diet.
I like the fact many foods which are helpful to improve gut diversity are cheap and readily available, The only thing to avoid is processed and ultra processed ingredients (synthetic cheap fillers), and as I explore new ingredients I don't miss them

Fantastic 🙌

Brilliant book ... i read it the first time a couple of years ago ... but listening to it on Audio books is even better as i got to do jobs at the same time, like walk the dogs, tidy kitchen and cook dinner 😎

So clear and easy to understand. Brilliant

I have always eaten lots of vegetables but I do have a sweet tooth. I now understand using sweetener is not the answer. Much of what I do is good . But this give such a clear plan of the things I can improve and why. It all makes sense now. I have put off doing exercise and mindfulness never find the time but who can’t find ten minutes. Thank you Micheal very much.

Good read

Informative covering a broad spectrum of info on food, gut, things that work and things that don't. The information is presented in an easy to understand way with good analogues. Follow with various options that you can impliment. Good read!
