Summary

A sweet and delicious treat from the multimillion-copy-selling Carole Matthews. Perfect for fans of Milly Johnson and Jill Mansell.

For Lucy Lombard, there's nothing that chocolate can't cure. From heartache to headaches, it's the one thing she knows that she can rely on - and she's not alone. Fellow chocolate addicts Autumn, Nadia and Chantal share her passion, and together they form a select group known as The Chocolate Lovers' Club. Whenever there's a crisis, they meet in their sanctuary, a café called Chocolate Heaven. And with a cheating boyfriend, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband and a loveless marriage, there's always plenty to discuss....

Loved it. It is a captivating read and now I feel completely loved up (and in desperate need of some chocolate!)

A good read

Great story a bit of a chick book but still enjoyable to listen to a laugh in places.

pointless but brilliant

This was one of the most pointless books i've ever read. but I loved it: just think bridget jones meets sex in the city and add loads of chocolate to that and you've got this book. i'm now reading the chocolate lovers diet

Words fail me

I've only given this one star in each category because there's no facility for giving 'O'. Why do writers and publishers think that foul language, blasphemy and descriptions of sex acts are acceptable offerings for the reading public to consume. They're not for me.

Predictable but cute

This book is totally far fetched but after listening to far to many thrillers it was a welcomed change for me. It is really predictable and there are also some references to eating disorders which I found a bit unnecessary but overall it's a cute read.

waa ok

I have read the book before but haven't read it in a long time. I find the character Lucy so stupid and a bit pathetic really. while the story itself was quite fun and has a lot of laughs and alot of drama good, bad and just plain stupid its was a fairly good read. the narrator tells the whole story beautifully.

August bookclub read

I haven't read anything by this author before. I loved the characters especially Chantel. some serious issues mixed with nonsense but it worked for me. I have the second book in the series ready..

Frustrating

The main character has never heard of feminism and is a punch ball for all her idiotic partners. She makes one stupid mistake after the other but not in an entertaining way, it's just annoying and dull. The other three storylines are just as far fetched. They don't make you sympathise with the characters at all, you just keep getting frustrated at their stupid decisions. Usually a fan of Carole Matthew's work but found this story very disappointing!

just about ok

The story was a little weak and the characters were a very 'pathetic', which lead them to become very predictable. I'll be honest I wanted to skip various parts on a number of occasions.
Audio book was well read though
