Summary

The Venture has taken flight and set off to explore the dimension of Taryl. Their trip should have been an easy one, traveling from town to town. Instead they're facing monsters and mayhem at every turn.

Can Levi and his classmates discover why so many things are going wrong on their voyage?

The Demon Lord is taking a semester abroad to find out more about himself, and he's invited everyone he loves to come along with him.

I have received this free copy for an honest review. This story has quite the interesting start and setting, while drawing inspiration from some it is also quite different and an otheworldy story. The main is a good guy but also has to learn and adpts well into not letting anyone pass over him. He has hidden power from his unusual entry and he has to learn to use it as it seems he will really need it. This is quite the adventurous continuation, with an story fully on the move, some challenges with the companions and direct attacks against his life now, he has to call to his power and his companions to survive and needs even more power! The narration is clear, easy to undertand full of life for each character.

Impressive story and adventure

Great narration like before, though I wish Katana Jones did the majority of the narration.
This story feels more like a a side-story diversion, but still good.

Love this series

this is, overall, a fantastic book, well narrated and wirh a great plot.

it's let down, however, but a character twist that isn't really telegraphed at all and feels like it was used purely because they were the only other named character around. it felt a bit derailing, out of left field and disatisfying. i kept waiting for a surprise reveal but sadly the death felt... undeserved and unearned.

that bit needed a bit more development; some more hints rather than an after action "oh it turns out that..."

beyond that the book is brilliant and detailed - the other characters continue to impress; the world building is fantastic and we're seeing the grand showdown being set up between the academy and the empire.

overall brilliant with a disappointing twist
