great narrative and story, it was a blast to listen to, the progression of the characters is as engaging as always.

great as always

finally, we get a conclusion that has been building for the past few books - our hero (Demon lord!) gets a major upgrade and advances, finally stepping up into his power. and he also decides to upgrade his relationships!

the pace is overall good, but the journey to the dark elf world feels weirdly too fast, characters introduced then moved past. that could have been a whole book in itself!

and finally we see more of the Empire.

the book ties off loose ends, with excellent narration and spice! and sets up well for more expensive, dramatic adventures going ahead.

excellent arc conclusion
