Summary

Two unknown producers struggle to fulfill their dreams to change lives through the power of film. With millions of investors' dollars on the line, everything starts to fall apart and they realize they may be in over their heads.

Excellent Story of Faith

In the line of the Baxter Family books comes new characters mixed with the ones we already know. A story of Faith, struggles, temptations, and miracles, this is an excellent Faith based book.

KK doesn't disappoint!

This story continues on where the Baxter saga left off. It is very well written and an enjoyable "listen." The narrators were easy to listen to, and it was nice to hear more than one narrator as the story progressed.

Absolutely edifying

What an amazing book, I know, from personal experience about the awesome , all-powerful plant-breathing God, Who steps in at the last minute, and has done amazing things in my life. I pray that this book will light the way for all who read it to this awesome God. I have loved all your books Karen Kingsbury, and pray tat God will continue to use you to build His Kingdom. The narrators were fantastic as well! God bless you all, Anthea

multiple readers

I was disappointed when the original reader for the Baxter series wasn't used for this book. Multiple readers are used and I found that made it difficult to listen too. I wasn't fond of the vast variety of male and female readers. The stories are always wonderful and I enjoyed that part.

Entertaining story!

What made the experience of listening to Take One the most enjoyable?

I liked that the characters were deeply developed and believable. I had forgotten the fears and dreams through a young girls eyes.

What other book might you compare Take One to and why?

This was the first book that I had read (listened to) by Karen Kingsbury and enjoyed her writing very much. She has a style similar to another one of my favorite authors, Francine Rivers.

Would you listen to another book narrated by the narrators?

I liked having 5 narrators. I would have liked to have the their voices a little more distictive or recognizable. A few times this caused confusion. One of the female narrators was not good, but I couldn't say which one, because I didn't know her name. The male voices were awesome!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried when someone else was chosen for the leads girlfriend. That must have been very hard for the producer/dad.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book. I love that Kingsbury was able to conviegh a beautiful Christian message in a sweet believeable story.....Just PUSH.....Pray Until Something Happens!

Take One

The audio was great and I loved the characters and their lofty ambitions, but I found the first part slow moving, and the character of Andy

Somewhat unbelievable. No one could be that naive! If you have read the authors other books about th Baxters, you will enjoy this one.

Uplifting and encouraging

Karen Kingsbury makes you want to live in her fictional world. This story has a glorious innocence about it that one does not see in our world today. The characters stand in stark contrast with every character today’s media offers. The story gives hope that such a purity could still exist & can even encourage the reader to pursue it.

Love KK's books and this one is no different!

Very good Christian fiction, my favorite genre. Good clean story of more Baxter's and friends. Good narration and voices. Will listen to the next in the series.
