Summary

An instant New York Times best seller

Science raises questions only love can answer in this moving and thought-provoking novel from number one New York Times best-selling author of the "heart-tugging and emotional" (Romantic Times Book Reviews) Baxter Family books.

One frozen embryo. Two families with life-long secrets. And a guy who never planned to fall in love again.

Maddie Baxter West is shaken to the core when she finds out everything she believed about her life was a lie. Her parents had always planned to tell her the truth about her past: that she was adopted as an embryo. But somehow the right moment never happened. Then a total stranger confronts Maddie with the truth and tells her something else that rocks her world - Maddie had a sister she never knew about. Betrayed, angry, and confused, Maddie leaves her new job and fiancé, rejects her family's requests for forgiveness, and moves to Portland to find out who she really is.

Dawson Gage's life was destroyed when London Quinn, his best friend and the only girl he ever loved, is killed. In the hospital waiting room, London's mother reveals that London might have had a sibling. The frozen embryo she and her husband donated decades ago. When Dawson finds Maddie and brings her to Portland, the Quinns - her biological parents - welcome her into their lives and hearts. Maddie is comforted by the Quinns' love and intrigued by their memories of London, who was so much like her. Is this the family and the life she was really meant to have?

Now it will take the love of Dawson Gage to help Maddie find her way to the life she was meant to live. The one she almost missed.

Best Karen Kingsbury by far!

I fell in love with Karen Kingsbury's books because of the redemption series. So when I saw this book would tell Maddie's story, (Daughter of on of the redemption series characters) I jumped on it! It was everything I could have hoped for and more! If you are on the fence I would highly recommend this book. It is unbelievable!!

I Did Not Stop Until I Finished the Book!

At first the two different reader performance threw me off because I was not use to it but both did an excellent job. The story was amazing! This is my first ever Karen Kingsbury book. I give it my personal Love's Weaving Hand seal because of how beautiful our Lord is portrayed in the rich character development. I look forward to more of Karen Kingsbury books and appreciate the author's love for God and using her talents for His glory to impact lives with fiction. 😊

Another great story woven together masterfully by God's artist, Karen Kingsbury. The Baxters are back and 2 young lives are forever changed. You cant put it down and when it's over you look forward to the next.

Plot lacks reality

Struggle to finish it. Actually I was able to fast forward and still not loss the general plot and what was happening.
