About this listen

Officer Paul Lee has been on the Waverly police force his entire working life. Now, nearing retirement, he finds he’s lived a lonely life filled with regrets. Having seen the worst that humanity has to offer, he lives in fear and distrust, not liking the man he’s become.

In the course of a murder investigation, he learns of an experimental drug that reverses aging. The possibility of living a new life, the life he wants, looms in front of him. Worried that he'll live the same life he's lived before, he seeks help by joining multiple workshops being held across the country to free himself from his fears, freeing him to follow a new path.

At one of his self-help classes, he meets Marge, a widow. He knows their connection is something very special, but soon he'll be much younger than she is.

This second book in the spots trilogy wasn't quite as good as the first in my opinion but that may have been my own fault as I listened to it immediately following book 1, and it didn't come up to my very high expectations. The storyline continues the exploits of the main characters from the first book espescially the police officer who steals some of the tablets looking for his own eternal youth. Tim Alexander once again does a brilliant job of the narration. No hesitation in giving the book another 5 star review as it was still a superb listen.
I was kindly given a promo copy of this book by David Morris and leave this honest and voluntary review.
