About this listen
Shane Miller Sleep Diary:
Went to bed at: Late.
How long it took to fall asleep: Forever. I have insomnia. Duh.
Number of caffeinated beverages you had consumed: Zero. Thanks for advising me to quit!
My stress level is off the charts.
I can’t sleep right on a normal day, and lately my days are filled with the best kind of chaos.
My ex-wife and husband number two are filming in Poland for three months, so I’m turning down movie parts to focus on the most important role of my life - impossibly charming and somewhat capable young single dad.
My son won’t stop asking questions.
My daughter won’t brush her teeth unless I sing her showtunes.
Our regular nanny quit.
The only person I could trust to hire as a temp nanny is my best friend’s sister.
If Mary Poppins and Bill Murray had a baby it would be Willa.
Fresh out of grad school and beautifully weird.
She hates my movies, and my kids adore her.
I couldn’t sleep last night because she wasn’t here.
Turns out I can’t sleep unless she’s in my house now.
Turns out she’s what’s been missing from my life all along.
If my friend had any idea what I want to do to his gorgeous troublemaker of a sister, he would smother me with a pillow.
The chances of us succeeding as a couple are about as good as that little indie movie that I made being a huge hit.
But it’s a chance I’m going to take.

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!
I love, love, loved this audiobook, it is a wonderful story, beautifully written and told! Kayley Loring is a gifted author, I enjoy her writing style, the storylines she created are original and interesting, they grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to. I adored the two leads, Shane Miller and Willa Todd, loved how Willa crushed on him when she was younger. Shane Miller an actor with a successful career is divorced with twin children, he had help fo a Nanny but she decided to quit. Shane is good friends with Willa’s brother, Nico, and it is he who recommends hiring Willa, she was a Nanny while training in France and she is looking for a temporary job while she starts up her own business. Willa was great with his kids, Lucky and Summer, she developed a good rapport with them and even got them to like her. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the alternating POV were great and the diary contributions are a brilliant additions. The story flows nicely and is beautifully plotted, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some great humor, heartfelt and loving moments all leading to a great romance. I highly recommend this entertaining and enjoyable book!
Teddy Hamilton and Mackenzie Cartwright are awesome narrators and voice artist. They bring these characters to life, humanize them with their emotions, giving each their own voice and personality. I adored Teddy’s take on Shane and Mackenzie’s Willa, they also did a great job performing the voices of the secondary characters too, children included. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous and delightful listen🎧

Fantastic listen!
Kayley Loring never ceases to amaze me with her books. Each time I listen to one propels me into the story and keeps me there until the very end, like I am hearing a story from my best friend. This one is one of my favorites. The single dad of twins, Shane in need of some help while his ex-wife is away filming a movie. When he meets up with his best friend, he finds his sister, Willa in need of a job with experience as a nanny. Willa has had a crush on Shane since she was 12, so this is no hardship for her! And it will give her time to build her perfume store on Etsy. And our romance begins. Single dad and best friend’s sister are two tropes I love. The chemistry between Willa and Shane is undeniable, the twins are adorable, but what really caught my interest were all the fun facts Willa would tell the twins to answer questions! Or how she concocted a mixture of fragrances! Or the way Shane would see her when she didn’t notice. It’s romantic, has laugh out loud moments, times of fear we have all had happen and a narration that just brings it all alive. It may be titled “Sleeper” but this book will not put you to sleep! It’s a wonderful book.
Mackenzie Cartwright is one of my favorite female narrators. There is something about her cadence and voices that I just love. She expertly connects with Willa and lets us see and feel all of her emotions, from being a kid infatuated with a star to her adult love. Teddy Hamilton is so easy to listen to. His narrations are so comfortable with his conversational style that I easily get lost with him while listening. Together they are magic and their storytelling brings it all out.

Shane and Willa!
After studying overseas Willa finds herself back in her hometown looking for a job in her field and living with her brother. When she has the opportunity to become a live-in nanny to her brother’s best friend, who also happens to be her childhood celebrity crush, what could possibly go wrong?
Shane is a successful actor who finds himself as the sole parent to his five year old twins while his ex-wife is out of the country for two months. Between his career, his insomnia and his children his balancing act isn’t working for any part of his life so Willa seems like the answer to his prayers.
What a fun and engaging story this turned out to be. Willa’s personality will make you smile, Shane is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy, the twins are adorable and all they all add up to a hot and humorous story that you won’t be able to put down. I received a complimentary copy of the book and thought that the narrators did a great job with not only the characters of Willa and Shane but the children as well.

Once again Kayley had me in stitches!
This is Shane and Willa’s story. The movie star and interim nanny who is actually a perfumer. “The Performer and the Perfumer.” I’m not gonna go on about the plot because really you can read the blurb for that but take it from me that you need to listen to this series in audio. The kids are funny, the lines are funny, the plot is funny, it’s just freakin’ funny! There is a garage quickie that’s hot as a hot thing ever could be hot! And there’s a smidgey bit of the feels too. This baby is the full package!
Mackenzie has THE most amazing comedic timing and such a sarcastic tone. I love her and she’s perfect as Willa. Teddy is the scmexy Shane and he also had me in stitches. This comedy duo are a force to be reckoned with.
Kayley can do no wrong when it comes to putting a smile on my face and making me laugh so hard.

Rom-Com Perfection!
Kayley Loring is quickly becoming one of my go-to rom-com authors. This might be my favorite to date!
Willa is awkward and nerdy and so freaking cute. I absolutely loved loved loved her character. The two together make for so many great laughable moments that will have you giggling and falling just a little more for them!

SO GOOD! Fantastic book brought to life
Admittedly, I'm a fan of this author and I one-click her books because I feel like she usually has the perfect mix of humor and romance. And this book is my favorite to date. Well, it could be because I have boy/girl twins. Or that I'm neurotic, wacky and geeky and went to Cornell. Or it could be because I have insomnia. Or, it could be because I literally smiled for 95% of the book (the other 5% was enjoyable, but my zygomaticus major muscles got tired (yes, I looked that up because, me=geek).
Willa is a scent specialist who has been in love with Shane since she was 12 years old. Shane is an actor and Willa's brother's best friend. And he needs a nanny. She's between jobs. And she loves children (the twins, Summer and Lucky) so she becomes their live-in nanny. Now, how do they get to the point that they realize their love was meant to be? It was a fun and sweet road to their HEA and the twins, as well as Willa's brother, Nico, were fantastic supporting characters.
I first read the book and then I had the opportunity to listen to the narration through AudiobookObsessionReviewGroup. And this excellent book was elevated by the narrators. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite narrators and he played his role perfectly- funny, great pacing, emotional. Mackenzie Cartwright also was amazing, able to play multiple characters and really get the listener into the story. You know when you see these two together that the narration will be pretty much flawless.

Wow!!!
Wow! I was a little skeptical about the premise, but was so surprised. I enjoyed the story so much. It cycles you through a few emotions, and it has so much hope. It’s a great story and the narration was well done. I definitely recommend.
