Story
My stress level is off the charts. I can’t sleep right on a normal day, and lately my days are filled with the best kind of chaos. My ex-wife and husband number two are filming in Poland for three months, so I’m turning down movie parts to focus on the most important role of my life - impossibly charming and somewhat capable young single dad. Our regular nanny quit. The only person I could trust to hire as a temp nanny is my best friend’s sister. If Mary Poppins and Bill Murray had a baby it would be Willa.

She serves me coffee late at night when I come around to write lyrics, but it’s not the caffeine I’ve gotten addicted to. We’ve got the spark, but she’s the only woman in town who seems to be immune to my charms. When it’s time for me to leave for my cross-country tour, I just can’t imagine not seeing her for months. So I offer her a job on the road with me.

There are bad ideas and there are good bad ideas. My former fiancé banging a nanny - that was a bad idea. A good girl having her first ever one-night stand with the hot former bad boy she just met after being dumped? Bad idea. When I find out that the nanny's ex-boyfriend is looking for revenge, I should run - far away. But I don’t...because rebounding with Vince is the most awesome bad idea ever. Do I want to help him get back at our exes in this way? Oh. Hell. Yes. I want him to get back at my ex hard. With wild abandon. All night long.

Dear Fiona: I hope this letter finds you well - and by well, I mean significantly less infuriated than you were yesterday. I’ve wanted to continue our conversation from the night we met, but there are so many things I can’t say or do, now that I’m your professor. As an anonymous letter writer, I can give you some idea of what I have planned for us, once the year is over. As an author, I can share my work in progress with you. When I was a kid, my dad was the gardener for the richest man in town. His daughter, Lily Barnes, told me she could never like a guy like me. Then she kissed me and told me it would never happen again. When it happened again, she told me she could never love me because she was going to leave this place, and I would never leave my dad. We were never quite friends, not exactly enemies, and we could never quite stop secretly kissing each other. She never said goodbye before running off to try to make it as an actress. That was her dream, and I wanted her to chase it.

Everyone on Main Street has been talking about Evan Hunter, the British movie star who’ll be filming on location in our small Pacific Northwest town for a couple of months, and all I have to say about that is: “Who?” When he shows up two weeks early to escape the London paparazzi after breaking up with some starlet, all I want to know is: “So?” When he walks into the gym that I manage for my dad and brothers, to start training for the action scenes in his movie, I’ll admit I do say to myself: “Hmmm...”

If people have polar opposites, Luca Rossi is mine. His butt is in the baseball hall of fame. Mine's comfortably seated in the hall of lame. When he's not snagging fly balls out in center field, he's modeling in shampoo commercials. I once jammed my own finger while stirring cookie dough, and sometimes I forget shampoo is a thing. He's a total cynic when it comes to love. I make a living writing love stories. But after my latest broken engagement (no, I don't want to talk about how many times that's happened), it's clear he's exactly the man I need.

My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

There are a few things you should know about my brother’s roommate. Wolfie Cox is complicated, and incredibly sexy. So, naturally, I want to ride him like a bicycle.

The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

Summary
TO: Alex Vega
FROM: Emilia Stiles
SUBJECT: Hello
Dear Mr. Vega,
I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son.
I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. Given that your ex-wife will be out of the country for a while and you are currently his primary caregiver, I’m sure you understand why we need to establish boundaries and etiquette. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today.
Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes if we should happen to interact with each other again in the future.
Thanks so much,
Miss Stiles
TO: Emilia Stiles
FROM: Alex Vega
SUBJECT: Re: Well, hello again…
Dear Miss Stiles,
Great to hear from you. My son’s education is indeed a top priority. As such, I respectfully agree to refrain from doing all of the aforementioned things.
However, I can’t promise to stop thinking about that kiss at the bar this summer. I’ve been thinking about it for the past month. It’s interesting how humorless and uptight you are about my son’s totally awesome personality, given that I have personally witnessed just how flirtatious and talkative you yourself can be when mildly intoxicated.
You’re so welcome,
Alex
P.S. I volunteered to be a chaperone for your next field trip. See you then.

Trouble Maker
This is my first book by Kayley Loring and I enjoyed it. Narration was good. Nice easy story to listen. Emily has just started a new teaching job. Alex is the sexy single dad of one of her pupils...and happens to be the man she made out with in the club before school started. Of course they shouldn’t be together, but who can stay away from a trouble maker!

LUST, LONGING, LAUGHS & LOVE.. the perfect Rom/Com
This book is the kind that instantly draws you in as a single night with only kisses and chemistry between strangers backfires and brings such delicious frustration, fireworks and feels. This storyline, of a single dad and his son’s forbidden teacher, is a delicious and fun-filled slow-burn of a second-chance for both of them. This war of seismic chemistry, animal attraction, fry your brain lust and deep respect vs. obligations is a delicious and humorous head vs. heart marathon that’s so entertaining and fun. This example of respect and loyalty between two people who long for each other yet commit to doing the right thing for the school, for each other, for themselves and for a sweet seven yr old boy they both love, is a delicious well-written lighthouse that towers and shines in the rom/com genre. This sweet tender instant attraction tale was always going to lead to more.. with stolen smooches, primal possessive passion and frenzied sex as the smouldering fire between them flares into a furnace that deliciously melts their self-imposed walls. This shining example of a teacher who cares, loves and respects, well she was always going to end up with the handsome Hollywood Director because she only saw the caring devoted dad - not the millionaire or his first place spot on The Most Eligible and their ride was truly delicious. And the choice of A list performers Mackenzie Cartwright and the delicious Zachary Webber were the perfect fit to bring the cast of characters to life. They made the dual POV thrills and thought, the patient promises, the temptation and teases, the frustrated longings, the tension- filled passionate explosions, the humor and the love truly memorable.
WORTH A CREDIT? it’s a book you don’t want to leave, it’s a book you want to listen to all over again, it’s definitely a book to lick your lips in delicious anticipation of.. and YES, it’s a book worth spending a credit on.

Loved it!! 👌👌💥❤❤
This is absolutely one of my favorites. Audible awards should go to the author and the narrators. Zachary and MacKenzie were pure magic. Such a fantastic story and Alex's son Tyler was adorable!! Don't want to repeat what's already been said but I would give 10 stars to everyone. And Zachary/Jacob, I've been listening to you for years and you still rock it with all the sexy and steamy feels. And MacKenzie I love your narration too.. You and Zachary hit a home run with this one... Then we get my other two fav male narrators make short audible cameos from the first and 2nd books of the series. I thought those were good. . I'm so giddy now. Kayley, Kayley, Kayley, just keep doing and writing these fantastic stories. Thank you for this one. And this is one I would definitely listen to again and I don't do that often. Enjoy! Great series but really loved this one best of all.

So much fun, and amazingly well narrated
I'm relatively new to Kayley Loring's books, but I'm thoroughly enjoying her novels, and I scooped this up as soon as it was available in audio because the novel was amazingly fun to read. I have found that you can always, always, always, count on Kayley for a good old fashioned fun romcom that leaves you with a smile on your face. Troublemaker delivered exactly that!
Alex and Emilia meet in a night club, and from the moment they meet, they just can't resist each other. But the lose track of each other somewhere along the way after a scorching kiss that they can't forget. So imagine their surprise when Alex finds out Emilia is his child's teacher. What do you desire more than forbidden fruit, right?
This book is full, full, full of banter, romance, humor, emotions, and did I say humor? We get to hear their thoughts, their texts, their journals, and OMG it is a great ride. Not to mention the friendships. I love a book with not only well-developed relationships between the main characters, but also with the side characters since you get to know the leads so much more intimately that way.
Even though there are characters from prior books in this one, it can be 100% standalone. It is so worth the read!
From a narration perspective, Zachary Webber and Mackenzie Cartwright are AMAZING! They brought so much life and vibrancy to the characters, from the smallest child to the doting grandma. Zachary and Mackenzie hit all of the best notes, and they brought so much humor throughout the entire novel. They had great material to work with, and they really brought it to life.

I honestly believe it’s some mystical combination of great writing and awesome narration that made this book so endearing for me. Whatever it is, that magic combination, this book had it. Had it all! A relatable heroine and a unicorn of a hero that one just hopes actually exists in this world.
Looking for a reason to escape and smile... then download this book...don’t hesitate! I’m about to start it again...because I’m just not ready to let this feeling go.

LOOOOOOOOOVE!!!
This was my first book by Kayley Loring and I didn't even realize it was part of a series, so it can definitely be listened to on it's own since Alex isn't featured or mentioned in the first two books - boo. I did go back and listen to Sleeper and Charmer, which were good, too, but Trouble Maker is by far my favorite of the three. It's one of my favorite Zachary Webber performances, his timing of how he acts out the story is so effortless that the characters don't feel like "characters." They feel like real people the listener could encounter in their own lives and possibly be friends with. He makes Alex and Ryder so damned irresistible, you can't help falling in love with them right along with Emilia. Emilia is such a great heroine; the earnest teacher who's a little awkward and unsure of herself, a bit OCD and nerdy, but has a great heart she's longing to share with the right guy. Mackenzie Cartwright did a great job bringing Emilia to life along with Franklin, Emilia's ride-or-die best friend/roommate.
I laughed so much listening to this story that my face hurt. From Emilia's inability to keep from saying the wrong things or having wardrobe malfunctions around Alex, Franklin's flamboyance, Ryder's devious impishness to bring his dad and Miss Stiles together, Alex and Ryder's father/son relationship, the way Alex and Emilia can't fight their attraction from the start, the hilarious Grammy Todd interactions...Just everything. This book was worth the credit and I believe I will be hanging on to it. Also, I freaking love the author's notes!

Perfect in every way
For everyone who has read Troublemaker (if you haven’t, what the heck are you waiting for?) and have met Alex Vega and Emilia Stiles and of course Ryder, know what an incredible book it is. It has everything you could want it a rom com. Moments that make you snort, moments that make you laugh out loud so your kids look at you funny (that one might just be a me thing), sweet moments that make you go awwwww, and steamy af moments that may require you to take a cold shower after.
Now imagine these moments read to you be the incredible Zachary Webber and Mackenzie Cartwright. Are you excited now? I know I was. From the moment the narrators were announced I was the off the wall excited. I love Kayley Loring audiobooks. They never fail to make me smile and the idea that my favorite narrator, Zachary Webber, was going to be involved made me just that excited that I actually messaged Kayley on FB. I know you all don’t know me but that is just not a me thing to do. That being said I’m so glad that I got to share my excitement with her and I’m so grateful she has taken moments to geek out with me about my love of all things narrated by Zachary Webber.
Now let’s talk about the epicness that is the audiobook. Narrated mostly in the traditional style of dual narration with moments of duet for some hilarious emails, steamy (and also hilarious text messages, some journal entries and lists, and a bonus epilogue with cameos from both Jason Clarke and Nico and Teddy Hamilton as Shane, Troublemaker is one of those audiobooks that will put a smile on your face, make you laugh and may cause a need of cold showers.
Zachary is perfection as Alex and Mackenzie is, as always, great. The took this already amazing book and just catapulted it to the next level. There are so many moments to love. From an unexpectedly steamy parent teacher conference (since when do those happen) to awkward naughty texting attempts, to sweet moments with a cute 7 year old boy who just desperately wants his dad to be happy I just can’t choose a favorite (although that parent teacher conference is really something).

Sweet, fun and oh so sexy!!
I absolutely adored this book! I love both Alex and Emilia's characters so much!!! They are perfect for each other and each deserves the love they find in each other. The story is so wonderful and I loved how Alex and Emilia first meet and then meet again in a more complicated way. There is lots of flirty, sexy banter and texting and all the good stuff that follows. As I said things are complicated but their love isn’t and I just loved watching them fall hard for each other. Ryder, Alex’s son is as adorable as he is clever and smart. He is a pretty talented matchmaker too. I also love that the characters from Charmer and Sleeper make appearances in this book, keeping their friendship alive and them all tied together.
The narration is just fantastic on this book!! Zachary Webber and Mackenzie Cartwright did such a stellar job bringing Alex and Emilia to life! It was hours of enjoyment and a pleasure to listen to.
This has been such a fun and awesome series! I was so happy that there were extra epilogues from Nico (Jason Clarke) and Shane (Teddy Hamilton) at the end too, wrapping everything up nicely for the reader/listener!!!

Steamy Single Dad Rom Com
I just finished and I'm on an emotional high. Kayley Loring has delivered another great rom-com! There are so many hysterical moments and quick jabs that I had a smile on my face the entire time.
Alejandro Vega, Alex, is a single father who meets Emma while at a nightclub. They have a passionately hot moment but circumstances distract them and they don't get the opportunity to exchange info.
Emma, actually Emilia Stiles, has just left a long term relationship and is starting over in a new city with a new job. Imagine her surprise when she calls a parent-teacher meeting to discuss her student, Ryder, and in walks Alex.
The chemistry between Alex and Emilia is palpable, off the charts hot. The witty banter and sexting are hilarious. This was such a fun story with so many great moments that adding it to my favorite list is a no brainer.
The narration is sublime. Zachary Webber sounds heavenly. I loved his kid voice, it made me want to give him a big hug. Mackenzie Cartwright, wow! I absolutely love her voice, her comedic timing, and again, her kid voice is awesome. Though short, we're treated to very touching guest appearances by Jason Clarke and Teddy Hamilton.
I absolutely loved this story. It was fun, fast-paced, and left me feeling so happy. It is an absolute must-listen!
