Summary

Greg may be an omega, but he doesn't let that define him. Aside from his almost compulsive need to clean, the most important thing to him is his job as the long-time bartender at The Big O. Greg is far from a delicate omega. In fact, he’s the same size as his best friend - an alpha who he always falls back into bed with when they’re between relationships.

Braden is a casual kind of alpha bro. He spends his time - and makes his money - playing video games. A slacker who never leaves the house, let alone bothers with unnecessary details like getting dressed, Braden is happy to settle into a non-relationship agreement with his bestie. It’s not like they’re gonna do anything silly like fall in love anyway - they’re just bros being bros.

When Greg saves the life of a quirky Irishman, he’s given an unexpected boon - his lifelong infertility is miraculously cured and he finds himself pregnant. Too bad nobody gave him the heads up that this was even a possibility.

Return to Hollydale for a friends to lovers tale of two guys who are perfect for each other, if they can just open their hearts and risk their friendship by taking a chance on love.

Luck of the Irish?

This latest book in the Hollydale Omegas is hilarious, and Drew Bacca does an excellent job as always of bringing the characters to life and giving them unique voices.
In this tale, the supernatural character is a Leprechaun called Shamy (Seamus, actually), but that's what Braden calls him, and our two romantic leads are best friends and roommates - an alpha gamer YouTuber called Braden, and an Omega bartender called Greg who tends bar at the Big O in Hollydale. I do enjoy this particular trope of friends becoming lovers, but these two sure don't make it easy for each other, though it's fun listening to them figure it out. Shamy does his best/worst in trying to encourage/discourage the two, and it sure makes for some very funny moments and scenarios. I highly recommend that you read/listen for yourself if you're a fan of MPreg, Susi Hawke and/or Friends-to-Lovers.

super cute

I feel like I keep saying this books are cute, but they are! this was a nice friends to lovers and I enjoyed seeing the progression of their relationship. I think they might actually be one of my favorite couples of the series. Their connection felt really organic and I think that it was one of the better relationships so far. These books are always a fun pick up me up and a good afternoon listen

Not my favourite

Although Hollydale is my favourite village to visit, this audio was not my most loved listen. Drew Becca does his usual great job with the voices and accents. I think my lack of love with this one was the “Bro” for me it was too much.
These however are quick stories to listen to, the involvement of previous characters is most welcome and I’m sure this is just a one off (slight) disappointment for me.

Another delightful Hollydale story!

This is another fun addition to the series. The new couple, Greg and Braden are already friends ('bros' with benefit), making this a friends to family story. There are lots of comic moments and I really enjoyed how they seamlessly morphed from the 'with benefits' zone to 'we are family' zone. Lovely story.
As usual, Drew Bacca brings this story to life with his narration - he always does a great job! He is great with the characters, switching between them without missing a beat. Really, this is a great way to enjoy the series.

I was gifted a copy of the audio. The opinions expressed are my own without expectations or bias.

Sweet!

I love this low-angst, sweet romance with a side of sexy times. Best buds Braden and Greg need a little shove to get them going in the right direction, though it takes them a while longer to realize they need to stop hiding from each other and talk. Sometimes they’re a little too “young” in their speech for my taste, but I’ll let it slide, since though they may sound like overgrown children sometimes, they mostly act like grownups with adult emotions. The narration was quite good. Drew Bacca’s Irish brogue is delightful.

Shamrock Spiced Omega

I’m gonna keep this one Short and Sweet.... Just like the book.

Every book in this series has been super cute so far. Every character we’ve met along the way has been likeable. This book really made me smile quite a bit along the way too. I’ve really enjoyed all of the books in this whole series. Between Susi’s writing and Drew’s Narrating it really is the perfect blend. Drew does great voicing Greg and Braden and I love listening to his spin on all the guys in these books.

Another great addition to the series!

Overall: 4.5 Stars!

Shamrock Spiced Omega is book 6 in the Hollydale Omegas series by Susi Hawke and a great addition to the series! This is just the kind of book I need to counteract the angsty books I generally read and are guaranteed to get me out of any funk I might be in. These books are sweet, fun and hot with just a smidgen of angst to keep things interesting and of course, each feature a different paranormal creature, in this case, Seamus, a quirky Irishman/Leprechaun, who helps push our heroes, Greg and Braden together.

I liked both Greg and Braden, but frankly, the whole 'bro' thing and their inability to communicate with each other about the things that really mattered was more than a bit frustrating! *headdesk* Still, it was an entertaining story, which while keeping with the series theme, still felt fresh and original.

Drew Bacca keeps getting better and better with each new book I listen to him narrate. He brings the characters alive with his voice and I adored his Irish accent, LOL!

This is an audiobook you can't miss out on!

A Delightful Story

This is the sixth book in The Hollydale Omegas Series. A delightful book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Greg is an Omega and Braden is an Alpha and they are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, video games, Alphas and Omegas, lots of cleaning, a bar, friends, a baby, gold coins and more in this book. The narrator did an excellent job narrating this book. He had different voices and wasn’t monotone and was expressive. I can recommend this book as a good read and listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Bromance

This is a fun story with a interesting storyline. I loved the Bromance the MC had. Shamans is sweet and has away of getting they guys to see what's right in front of them.

Bromegas, Alien Peanuts, & Gold Coins

For mpreg, this book was enjoyable. I’m still struggling with the whole, how does the omega man get pregnant, and, in this book, give birth? If you’re willing to forgo logic, then this is a cute little book. I want to say up front that there were way too many ‘bro’ mentions. I got it and although they were creative, they did become annoying. Also, sometimes pregnant omegas behave like stereotypical women and I wish that wasn’t so. If I wanted a whiny and insecure pregnant person, I could easily read an m/f book.

Okay, all that aside, I did enjoy the book. Braden and Greg have been friends forever, doing random hook-ups with each other when there’s nothing better going on. Since they live together, this arrangement is pretty convenient. Both see the good in the other person but while Greg is the responsible one with a regular job, Braden stays home and plays videogames. He happens to make a good living at it, but he doesn’t share that information with Greg. When each man realizes something’s missing in his life and his best friend might fill that void, he makes a move. Fortunately those feelings are mirrored and they begin a real relationship. Throw in a leprechaun, an unintended miracle pregnancy, and some gold coins and things get interesting. I liked that eventually the men did communicate and come to respect the other. Fall in love, even. And I loved their little bundle of joy.

Drew Bacca does a good job narrating the story, hitting just the right note for each man. Also, this is part of a series, so previous characters do reappear. I do appreciate, whenever possible, that the same narrator performs the entire series. I also thought the Shamrock theme was cute and that each story follows a holiday theme. As a woman with Irish heritage, I was extra thrilled to have the stereotypical Irish references. I hadn’t read the previous books but wasn’t lost so don’t worry if you’re dropping in mid-series. Overall, it was a cute and quick listen that I can recommend.

Braden & Greg

Another great one in this wonderful series. Greg and Braden are best friends who fool around when they're both single. But when Greg ends up pregnant they become so much more. It was a joy watching their relationship go from friendship to love as they build a family and a future. Great seeing some of the characters from the other books as well. The narrator was great on this one and did a really good job with the characters. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Amazing!

This is definitely one of my favorite series and it just keeps getting better and better. I love this frindss to lovers story. Greg and Braden's story is so sweet and I love it. And Drew Bacca has done an amazing job in this narration. Bring the new characters and old characters to life. I just love listening to this.
