Summary

Rescuers. Avengers. Thieves. Spies.

The life of a knight mage is never easy, but sometimes the gods smile on you and grant you an errand of incredible complexity...without regards to casualties.

When Tyndal and Rondal, journeymen wizards and knights errant, travel to southern Alshar to rescue a helpless boy and his mother, it sets in motion a series of events that will shake the foundations of the Five Duchies! While they are beginning their quest against the vast criminal gang known as the Brotherhood of the Rat, the two knights encounter the Cats of Enultramar, a family of shadowmagi (masters of shadow, illusion, and obfuscation) and high-class thieves who help them discover a plot to attack the rich lands and prosperous people of Alshar, from the Wilderlands to the Great Bay...and only Rondal and Tyndal can stop them.

From thugs and thieves to irate Censors of Magic to dragons and undead, the intrepid pair face the challenges of a new land and an old enemy. For when a new, powerful threat in the form of the Necromancer of Olum Seheri looms against them, the brave young knights magi can only hope to defeat it with the help of a...shadowmage!

This story has already been told.

Love these books but apart from the last chapter this was not on par with the rest.

Another great story by Mancour but not the best

I really enjoy the spellmonger series and have liked seeing the story from different perspectives but this one felt like it was a series of smaller stories just put together in one book. I am really looking forward to seeing the main story line continue in the next book.

He's done it again

Light and dark momments, with elegant humour and very relatable characters. Pure joy to read with a tence undertone to certain situations Rondal and Tyndal find themselves getting into. Expands the universe of the spellmonger in a rich and well thoughtout way, with links to past characters and signs of foreboding for what the future will hold for the characters. I enjoy these different perspectives from the key characters because it gives us the whole picture of the world which not many series can offer or do. Keep it up Terry! and I can only pray this series never ends. Not many writer's can make there audience so invested in the world and characters you have created.

5 premature reviews?

I love this series but there are five reviews already on a title that has only been out for a few hours and the running time for this publication is 24+ hours. I've loved this series so far as well as the performance. I can't understand putting a negative review on something you've yet to experience. Just like the bedroom if you're reviewing prematurely you're probably the one who deserves the bad rating and not the book.

Fantastic

Series never disappoints. This journey has so many different perspectives that you can see the world as a living thing. I cannot wait till the rest come out. The author pumps books out so quickly that you dont have time to forget anything from the last ones!

Awesome stories

This product comes with the main book and a short story afterwards. I enjoyed the slight romance in this book more than some of the previous romances introduced. The story was a perfect mix of world building, character building, and action. The worst part of The Spellmonger series is waiting on the next one to release on audible.

As for the short story, it’s a world changer. I never thought a 4-5 hour long story could change the world he has been building so much. Terry has an amazing imagination and I cannot wait for more.

Spellmonger = Pure enjoyment!!!

I love this series!! The characters are some of my favorite of any books I’ve ever read. It’s got it all, action, drama, magic and a s*** load of sarcasm. This is better than GOF and Terry Mancour actually puts books out consistently, what a novel idea!

Great job

after court wizard I was pensive about another book that didn't feature the spellmonger. This book however delivers all the excitement and adventure we have come to expect in the spellmonger series. 10 out of 10!
