About this listen

When the body of a fast-living young stockbroker is found in a shallow grave, suspicion first falls on a cuckolded policeman. Lieutenant Joe Gunther investigates the increasingly bizarre details of the crime, but he's too far behind events to prevent a second murder. Indeed, whoever is responsible always seems to be a few steps ahead, as if there's a leak in the police force. This is just a nice series! Not taxing. Well drawn characters but I feel I listen because of the narration which makes it an easy listen.

It's good and worth a listen with an exciting climax. The problem he needs to watch is after three book I'm finding the story and plot line becoming formulaic in structure with someone from the outset framed. I hope he has got over that plotlne as he is a pretty decent writer.

I am totally addicted to this series of novels. The stories are solid and well written. The reader is great so the combination of the two make for great entertainment. Many thanks. On to the next one!

Although I have given it 4*, I picked up on whodunit very early, but as this is before all the tech advances found the narrator very soothing, going through all the updates as the case proceeded. I also found, that a few too many characters were included in my view.
