This just didn’t seem to have much of a plot and I found myself skipping forward hoping it would pick up. Narration was good but the story never got going for me

This is the first book in the series, but I accidentally listened to the third book, dare to stay first.

As a whole I enjoyed this book but I didn’t find the characters as likeable and well described as they are in the other books in the series.

The narration was excellent. Defo worth a listen, but don’t quit after the first book.

Set in an animal sanctuary , well recreated. I enjoyed the insight into animal rescue, being an animal lover who has just fostered a dog, it resonated with me.
Emotionally withdrawn but confident Lisa, meets happy but too passive, in her life, Ashley. To make it work between them, they each have to change and grow, emotionally. This process was shown with emotional intelligence, and I really related to the difficulties of one of them…..
