This is the first read from this author. I found his style easy to read and the story a true mystery as I couldn’t guess what comes next in a few places. Will definitely continue this series.

Refreshing plot

this for me was a great listen, it made me feel like I was in Fallout but in space and it had aliens virtual reality but it was kinda real life sorta. the story got to the point quickly without pages and lots of paragraphs of descriptive explanations. I was swept up into this set and am looking forward to listening to the next set of books in the series. Im invested in the characters progression through their adventures for their relative races and factions. fantastic series.

Good story, but some of the character names just made laugh then cringe. It doesn’t take a lot to follow.

A few have said that this is what ready player one should have been.
I disagree this story is different and actually far superior to ready player one.

The story has kept me engaged and so far I continue to be surprised at the inventive story line and the narrative is excellent.

Highly engaging and for me it was like a film in my brain.

I will reading or listening to the rest.in the series and for anyone who likes a relatively fast paced story with some highly amusing moments give this a listen.

The Earth has been entered into a galactic VR universe and is competition with another Earth for survival. The MC doesn't follow orders very well and goes with his gamer instincts to get the best outcome and level up.
