In the third installment of Haunted Guesthouse, ghost host Alison Kerby takes on more unfinished business for her supernatural friends. The in-law ghosts at Alison’s guesthouse present her a pair of romantic riddles: Maxie is after her ex-husband’s killer, while Paul asks Alison to deliver a parting present to his near-fiancée, still among the living. Meanwhile, supernatural sleuth Alison has her own maudlin misadventure when her ex-husband, aka "The Swine", shows up in search of a second chance. Actress Amanda Ronconi captures the cozy quirkiness that informs author E. J. Copperman’s playful take on the paranormal. Ronconi reprises her role as haunted heroine Alison, an overworked, underappreciated mother - frequently fatigued, but nevertheless full of love, loyalty, and warmth for her family, both living and dead.

where an errant husband tries to get back in the family.
Alison finds herself looking for a murder as well as paul's girlfriend.
liking the series so far but still having some trouble with Amanda ronconi. can only listen to an hour at a time. used to listen to a lot of American stories but have gone on to british ones now.

I enjoyed this book. This is the third book in this fun series and I am just loving it. I love the characters, especially the ghosts and the way they interact with the guests at the b&b and get involved in the investigations of course. The rest of the characters are just as much fun. This book focuses more on the ghosts in this instalment and I liked learning more about them and there history, which also lead to some humours situations for Alison to find herself in. There is a lot going on in the story, with two cases to investigate, as well as the reason for her ex husbands return, meaning it never got a chance to get boring. Both cases are nicely weaved in with the running of the b&b and the drama created by the guests. Just a great series and I can't wait to start the next book.
Alison haunted b&b isn't going well. The resident ghosts are refusing to play there part in scaring the guests until Alison solved there cases. Maxine wants her to investigate her ex husbands death even if it means going undercover as a biker and Paul wants her to check on his ex girlfriend to see how she is handling life after his death. With guests complaining there is no ghost at the B&B the only way to make sure her business keeps up and running is to investigate. To top it all off her ex husband is back in town and making nice to there daughter. Can Alison stop everybody she loves from getting hurt?
I liked the narrator who brought the story to life, even the ghosts.
