I enjoyed the story , it was set in unexpected surroundings and a time period I'm not so familiar with. Unfortunately, having a female narrator was not a good idea; she tries hard but just cannot carry the male parts off so they sound forced and unnatural. Not sure I can cope with listening to her in another adaptation.
