Summary

Can the big bad biker really protect me and my daughter?

On the run with my baby daughter, I never expected to end up surrounded by massive bikers. I’ve seen the violence that gangs can do, and I’m not sure a motorcycle club is any different. But Maverick might be able to change my mind about Hell’s Ankhor. When I show up on his doorstep with a busted car and a baby in my arms, he doesn’t hesitate to take us in. And from the moment I see him, I know I want more.

It’s crazy to even think it. My violent ex is coming for me, and I can’t put anyone else in danger. But even more important is protecting baby Grace. And Maverick and his club are just the men to help. I think I’ve finally found my match in this gigantic biker’s arms. Can I trust that this time the story will end in a happily-ever-after? Or will my past crash into our lives and ruin the family we could have together?

my fav couple yet!

I loved Mav and Jonah and of course little Grace!

Maverick is such a sweet teddy bear! He's so caring and sweet, he's perfect for Jonah!! Jonah's had a hard and challenging run trying to escape a psycho ex but I liked that he was strong, determined and smart (for the most part) about it. He complimented Mav and I loved seeing Mav and all the guys fall hard for Grace! Gunnar's fear of a baby is hilarious too!!!

Such a great found family and another winning couple!

Another great addition

As always Bates and Lyda did an excellent job with the story. The characters are raw and believable, the plot exciting and fun and there was lots of amusing moments throughout. I think maverick as a character and this story in general are my favourite of the series so far

Great continuation of series

Maverick had such a different feel than the previous book, Rebel. Maverick works hard throughout the book to protect both Jonah and Grace. I loved the lower level (compared to the others of the series) angst that Maverick has. I love the addition of Grace to the dynamic of Maverick and Jonah.
Thomas Hard did a great job with the narration. He really did a great job balancing the love story and the intensity of the protection aspect of the story.
Great listen.

So good...

This series is amazing and this book is the best so far! Maverick protecting Jonah and Grace and fighting for being together, against abuse and evilness... simply WOW! of course, wonderful characters in a captivating plot needed a voice actor just as good and Mr Hart didn't dissapoint, he made an outstanding job bringing all the intensity alive. So good...

Great fast-paced story

I really liked Maverick. It was such a sweet, very fast-paced romance. I like their meet-cute. I loved that the other members of Hell’s Ankhor were very much a part of the story. I liked Jonah and Maverick’s chemistry together. There wasn’t a lot of unnecessary angst and miscommunication. It was hot and sexy and I loved that Grace was a part of the story. I recommend this story for sure.
I love the narrator’s voice. He was very nice to listen to. I liked his inflection and really enjoyed listening. I love listening to Hell’s Ankhor as much as I enjoy reading it. I definitely recommend this book.

A softer side of the motorcycle club life

This was already my favorite hells ankhor book so far so it’s no surprise that the audio version just made me fall even more in love. The narrator did a great job with both characters and I just fell in love with maverick, Jonah and grace all over again!

Favorite MC series

This is without a doubt my favorite MC series and when Jonah showed up with a baby getting to see Maverick and the club go into protector mode and deal with his vicious ex was a perfect read. These two opposite characters were perfect for each other. Jonah and Grace brought out a side of Maverick we don't always get to see (love babies and tough/marshmallow MC guys) and Maverick helped Jonah tap into strengths he didn't know he had. This is a keeper and a re-listen for me as are all previous books in this series. Thomas Hart did a superb job voicing both the alpha male protective side of the characters and their gentleness in dealing with Jonah and Grace.

great listen

I almost listened to this in one straight sitting. I was listening at work and got so frustrated that my earbuds were dying and I was so close to the end. Well worth the listen and now I cannot wait for Tex.

My favorite so far

I think this was my favorite so far in the series. This was way less volatile and more comforting than the rest of the books in this series. Well worth the listen in my opinion.

Big, bad bikers love babies

Another lovey addition to our Hell’s Ankhor family and a cute baby. All for the win.

Jonah was on the run from his toxic, abusive ex with his daughter. He has always thought bikers were violent, abusive people but he found out that it’s not the case when he arrived at the door step of Hell’s Ankhor. Maverick is very sweet and caring and so sweet to him and his daughter. Should he believe in love again and find solace in the arms of Maverick?

This one is more relationship focused between Jonah and Maverick and their adorable daughter Grace. Although it’s not as exciting as book 3, I liked listening this fluffy, heartwarming romance and I’m very happy that Jonah has found his home. Loved it.

Jonah and Maverick MC love story

This is the 4th book in Hell’s Ankhor series. Th is story follows Jonah, on the run with his baby daughter Grace. He seeks help from Maverick, who works for Hell’s Ankhor MC and takes in Jonah and Grace. The authors did a great job with the slow-burn love story between these characters and did a good job with overall character development. It is best to listen to the series in order to understand some plot points and backgrounds of some of the characters. The narration was spot on.

Finding love and protection in unexpected places

Having read the book, I knew what to expect in the audiobook version. There’s something extra added when you listen to a book performed though. Thomas Hart did a fantastic job bringing Jonah and Maverick to life. His ability to differentiate between all the characters is incredible. He’s the perfect choice for this series, and I’m glad he narrates several of the books so far.

Jonah doesn’t have the luxury of trusting people anymore. The last person he trusted, violently betrayed him, and now he’s on the run, but he’s not alone. His baby, Grace, is with him. Fate brings him together with Maverick. They both feel the connection, but understand the terrible timing. Maverick just wants to keep both Jonah and Grace safe, but will Jonah be able to learn to trust him and the motorcycle club? This is their story. It is a slow burn, which makes sense, given the storyline. I like how we get to see the softer side of our favorite characters. Babies will do that.

This was a great addition to the series. It continued to build upon the background story, and helping to set up the next book. I believe that these books are best enjoyed, and understood, listened to/read in order. I cannot wait for the next book to be released in audio form!

Jonah and Maverick's Love Story

I'd never listened to a motorcycle club romance until I was given a chance to receive free review copies of this book and one other in the ;Hell's Ankhor series. Single dad romance is one of my favorite tropes, so I requested this audiobook and agreed to post a voluntary review of it.

'Maverick' is the fourth book of the series and the second that I've listened to. I didn't have any trouble following the MC events that came prior to this installment; it stands alone well.

Maverick, owner of a combined auto and bike repair and customization shop, takes in Jonah and his infant daughter Grace, who are running from an abusive ex-husband, to give them a safe place to stay. The men have an instant attraction and soon fall in love. Problems arise when Jonah's ex doesn't let him go so easily.

Maverick is big, burly and intimidating on the outside and squishy, gooey on the inside as evidences by how quickly he takes to baby Grace. Who exactly did he fall in love with first? It could be argued that Grace steals his heart before Jonah does. The whole club thinks Grace is the bee's knees, making it easier for Jonah to dispel his misconceptions about Hell's Ankhor being a violent gang. He slowly begins accepting the help being offered by the club.

Authors Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda deliver to readers a well-written romance with: a little slow-burn, opposites attract, a cutie-pie babbling baby, a little suspense, misunderstandings and the feel-good happily ever after. The plot is believable. The characters are relatable. It's an all-around satisfying listen.

Narrator Tomas Hart does a good job interpreting this story. The authors' words were brought to life.

Recommended.

Maverick - good story

I liked this story even better than the last. It might have been a 5 star if not for the narration. I.just couldn't get into the narration, and the voices ran together, and it made it a bit confusing. Good story, decent listen, but you have to pay close attention.

Narration Needs Work

This is my favorite book of the series, Maverick is a giant teddy bear, Jonah is so sweet and sassy and Grace is such a cutie pie. This was a very sweet and spicy story with a little drama sprinkled in.
The narration needs work, the voices kind of ran together, there was hardly any distinction between characters.
