About this listen

When I find out he’s a virgin, it makes me hotter than I’ve ever been.

I’m old enough to know better than to get hung up on a 20-year-old twink, but he’s just my type. Problem is, he’s scared of bigger, burlier guys. He needs guidance and protection, the kind I crave giving my subs.

I’d never hurt him, but how can I convince him of that?

Heath is as prickly as they come. For some reason, he can’t believe I want him in my bed. I want to teach him everything. I want him to be mine.

He follows every instruction like he was a born submissive. While most of me wants to watch him flourish under my instruction, I can’t help but remember my last sub. I know I won’t find Heath in another Dom’s bed like my ex. But am I ready to risk my heart again and trust that Heath is as committed as I am?

I enjoyed Dante and Heath’s story.

Dante was super intense and the way he watched Heath, like he wanted to devour him, literally gave me goosebumps.

Heath was sweet and I loved it when he put Dante in his place.

Narrator’s performance was brilliant.

This is hands down my favorite MC series and it just keeps getting better and better. I was afraid that after the plot of Rebel concluded, the series might not have places to go that were as interesting but I was completely wrong. I love that we are now bringing in allied groups and mixing the clubs together. Here, we have the classic story of the large, alpha combined with a younger, rather fearful man but nothing in this story feels canned or repetitious. I love the two main characters together and the plot's use of the hurt/comfort trope was excellent. David Allen Vargo's performance here was wonderful. It must be difficult to voice so many alpha males and keep every character distinct, yet he manages to do that and capture all the emotions perfectly as well.

Great story and performance

Not having read the series, I wondered whether I would follow the story by jumping straight in to book 6.

Dante is a baker who owns his own bakery, but he's also a biker and a Dom.

After his last sub cleared off, he hasn't looked for another sub, however when he meets Heath who is in a neighbouring bikers club, he see's his next sub, apart from Heath is a virgin and scared stiff of the large muscled biker.

Will Dante ever get another sub.

Will Heath ever make a positive impression on anyone,

Even though I hadn't read the other books in the series, it didn't matter. I thoroughly enjoyed these two characters and the background ones. I really need to go back and listen to all the others in the series.

Well written and well read. My first book with David Allen Vargo and he has a good clear accent, easy to listen to.

Good book, great narration

This one took me a bit to get into. It was a lot of back and forth and uncharted territory, but once the MC's committed to what they were doing, it was worth the read. This is the second book in this series that I've read and enjoyed.

Both characters were very sweet and I rooted for them the whole time.

Low angst, very sweet
