Summary

I protect my pack at all costs - and I never fail. The vampires have broken our tentative truce and are threatening to destroy my pack. At the center of their scheme is Sky, an enigmatic lone wolf, who they believe is a weapon that can be used against us.

Nothing about the quiet, doe-eyed brunette screams "danger" or "ruthless weapon". And that's the problem. My wolf's instinct says to protect her, especially after a necromancer tries to kill her, the vampires repeatedly attempt to abduct her, and we receive a dire warning about her.

But as more is discovered about the elusive lone wolf, I quickly realize she's more dangerous than she looks. Can I neutralize the situation and protect her life, or do what I do best - protect the pack at all costs?

Breathing?

Very good book and series which made me listen tru it. But the narrators breathing was very annoying. You can hear her taking deep breaths and swallowing tru the book? I havnt heard that before thankfully. Like the voice and reading otherwiese.

Good narration, great story!!

This book did a good job of moving along the story and still making me anticipate the next book. The romantic relationship between Skylar and Ethan gets more interesting. Politics between the species heats up, in part due to interference from old enemies. New dangers and challenges arise. This book is full of good world building, drama, romance and humor. Highly recommend!

Yes!!

This book was so satisfying! There were so many parts of the book that I kept returning too. I have at least 5 parts of the book I will keep rereading. Sky has truly become her own person and a valued member of the pack! I loved it and will read again!

much much better

I did not leave a good review on the last books but I feel like this book made so much more the difference. she grew up and she stopped whinning. I really like her snarky comments and her approach . I do wish she would except her wolf and it makes me wonder if maybe the shade might have been having some dealings in her ability to except who she is.

good, but severe continuity errors

I enjoyed this book. I recommend that people who like urban fantasy read it.

That said…

The story:
--Enjoyable, but perhaps set in an alternative universe? Many facts seem to have changed slightly. I guess the beta readers and editors dropped the ball. maybe next time you can find some people who have actually read the other books in the series?

The narrator:
--she actually did a pretty good job. On the other hand, her producer bungled the job there are many places where the performance should have been edited and was not. Bad Tantor.

The authors thesaurus:
--seems to have worked very hard on this book. Perhaps it worked a bit too hard?
