About this listen

The apocalypse is coming, but only a lucky—or perhaps unlucky—few know.

Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform.

Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

A system-enforced secret, a deadly challenge, and only a year to go. The countdown begins now!

Like most audiobooks I listen to I went into this with no expectations and finished it having loved it, great start to a story with many interesting characters and I absolutely loved the geeky references which made me laugh.

Great beginning to a series

A very enjoyable base story with a unique aspects added to it which makes this book stand out.
My only complaint is the short lived ego arc and a miss out on a Bully Maguire esc plot point where he’s overwhelmed with his power a little longer, but I feel the story continued on fine without
As I am rather new to the genre I very much enjoyed this but am not sure how it compares to other books of the same genre though, coming from he who fights with monsters, I found this story very enticing

A familiar plot with a unique twist

Im focused on detail - a time of 29 minutes for 10km would put you in the top 700 worldwide of all time. The coach would be utterly amazed. Mid 30s would make you a good college track runner get the small things right. Otherwise i really enjoyed.

Nice Litrpg works well
