We are drowning in paper. We keep stacks of it on the kitchen counter, stash it in drawers, and stuff file cabinets full of documents (just one file cabinet can hold 18,000 sheets of paper - yikes). Despite this clear crisis of paper, there hasn't been a book devoted to managing and organising this single most abundant item in our homes - until now. In The Paper Solution, Lisa Woodruff delivers a proven, step-by-step guide to decluttering the paper in our lives and sorting what's left behind into easily accessible, structured and, most importantly, manageable files.

Understanding Girls with ADHD does not shy away from key areas of controversy. How, for example, can a family know whether it's ADHD or another set of problems that's the primary issue? How does one deal with the potential use of medication, which is plagued by bad press and abundant myths but which can, as part of a multi-faceted treatment plan, provide great benefit if the right dose is found and if the doctor works with the family to monitor positive effects and side effects carefully?

I'm surprised!!

Summary
Do you walk in a room to organize and find yourself paralyzed and overwhelmed?
Do you find yourself spending money on organizing solutions that don't work?
Do you feel like you put in effort but never make any progress?
Or maybe you know exactly what you want to do, and yet for some reason, you just can't get started.
Organizing isn't easy. And having ADHD doesn't make it any easier.
But it doesn't have to be impossible.
If you have ADHD and you've been struggling with organization, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.
It just means it's time to try working with your brain instead of against it.
That means:
- Understanding how your mind works
- Recognizing your strengths and weaknesses
- Finding the strategies that work for you
As a professional organizer, productivity coach, and former teacher, Lisa Woodruff knows that organization is more than just 15-minute daily tasks or cute ways to use fun containers. She's successfully parented, taught, and professionally organized people who struggle with ADHD, and she has been able to help hundreds of women in Cincinnati, Ohio - and thousands of women around the world - get their homes organized and keep them that way.

Good but not great
I was expecting more information about techniques for people who have ADHD. However, instead, she references her podcast and /or blog posts by #. Which means you have to go somewhere else to find information. The last part of the book is about her reviewing apps. Had a lot of good info but be ready to have a pen & paper to write down other resources since this isn't all inclusive.

Starts off strong, then I was distracted
I do have ADHD. I was disappointed because you started off with a good idea however you really didn’t touch the ways to help. You pointed out what most of people with ADHD already know, I wish you had gone deeper in how to actually overcome some of the obstacles. I laughed regarding the app portion only because the reality of all those apps and someone with ADHD, we will get sidetracked. I try to avoid my devices because they are actually not a great tool. I can be setting a timer next thing I’m 2 hours later( I’ve checked emails, stores for sales, played a brain game etc.) where an old fashion timer would be better. People who promote apps on devices for helping ADHD probably don’t suffer from ADHD or they micromanage someone with it there for thinking it works. the Sunday basket is good if you can remember to check it and go through it, not so good for someone who suffers from out of sight out of mind. This info is better for a parent who is going to micromanage a kid with ADHD, or someone who is just disorganized and does not really have ADHD. It is not for someone with ADHD. Sorry I did not like your book.

Not that great...
I didn't really feel there was enough content in this book. I felt like the majority of time the author was just leading you to her website as opposed to actually providing solutions. I didn't purchase a book to have to purchase something else. There were really only a couple of useful things that I took away from the book. Also, I feel that this book will be best in written form and not on Audible. There are too many references to products like apps that you cannot write down while you are driving and listening to a book. There were actually very little real organizational tips in the book. While I do believe I may have gotten a little bit out of this, I'm sure there are better books out there.

I have hoarded all of my life. I have sentimental attachments to many things. I love to give stuff away to someone that needs it, appreciates it, will take care of it & NOT sell it for profit but rather will pay it forward when they are done with it. Amazing! A must “read”!
This book is AMAZING!!!!!!! I found myself laughing out loud as I related to the many things/traits the author referred too. I just kept thinking, “THIS IS ME! Did someone give her notes on my life?” I can’t wait to implement the ideas she suggested.
Now, not only am I an adult with adult ADD, but I also have mild dyslexia. So, I was greatly concerned about my ability to follow along, but I decided to give audible a try and started with this book. I loved the fact the the author kept the book broken down into short chapters...boy does she get people with ADD or what?! But, the best part is the fact that she doesn’t speak too fast! I am finding that as I listen to other books, also on ADD, that I am having trouble following along because the narrator is speaking to quickly. As a result, I’m struggling with focusing on the content and having to “rewind” passages multiple times! It is as if I’m actually reading the book and my dyslexia is hindering my ability to comprehend and absorb what I read.
Lisa Woodruff, will you please narrate more books please? All around this book is amazing! A must read for those with ADD that are struggling to get organized.

ADHDers GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES!
Finally! An ADHD help book that was written by someone WITHOUT ADHD. Usually, the Lisa Woodroof’s of the world can’t understand us; they may even be looking down their well ordered noses at us, but usually they most certainly dislike us. Instead, her well ordered mind lays it all out their for us, in bite sized and organized pieces. She even thrives on helping us! I see criticisms in other reviews. Why? This book actually delivers!!! It’s done bullet style, built for the shortest attention spans! She gives us the information we need to understand and lovingly accept ourselves. Then she tells us what to do to overcome our inherent executive function issues to bring order to our lives. We can dive further in by going to the cited podcasts; take it further, or leave it there.
Further...she represents the “normals;” acceptance and understanding from one outside our ilk. We aren’t just lazy slobs, our brains simply work differently. Validation!!! My people, stop and take a look at this gem of a book!
I’m a full-time board certified ER doctor AND a wife/homemaker/mother of 3. I’m am certifiably ADHD; so says my Psychiatrist. Yep, I have no clue how to plug into a podcast, but you can be sure I’ll be figuring that out shortly! So, my fellow ADHDers, get your heads out of your asses and take this book at face value. This is a tool, written by an organized mind, with love to the disorganized minds of the ADHDers of the world. What a gift!
