About this listen

Jason has discovered that his homeworld is not what he thought. What’s more, the rest of the planet is on the precipice of sharing his revelation.

With magic on the rise and forces pulling him in multiple directions, Jason is faced with challenges greater than ever before.

Even as his power reaches new and incredible heights, he is faced with the realization that going beyond his best is still not enough.

About the series: Experience an isekai culture clash as a laid-back Australian finds himself in a very serious world. See him gain suspiciously evil powers through a unique progression system combining cultivation and traditional LitRPG elements. Enjoy a weak-to-strong story with a main character who earns his power without overshadowing everyone around him, with plenty of loot, adventurers, gods and magic. Rich characters and world-building offer humor, political intrigue and slice-of-life elements alongside lots of monster fighting and adventure.

Love the series and I'm always relistening. Voice actor is also amazing, really helps with the longer conversations between multiple people.

Always a great day when there's a new release!

I have nothing but respect for the author and his writing skills. It's genius. Not for one moment I felt that something was too much or close to boring. I especially appreciate the fact that not a lot of cheesy drama was present.

The narrator is brilliant as well. The French accents are awesome! Wish we could hear more of Taika, bro! Just 10 out of 10. Every character's voice feels unique. I could probably distinguish all of them by voice alone, without being prompted who said it.

Truly a fantastic duo. Bravo!

Absolutely amazing!

I'm not a big fan of the books that cover the parts on earth purely because how political and selfish people of earth are and how Jason's family treat him with a lack of understanding and consideration. this book also shows up how fragile Jason really is when it comes to his mental state which becomes really annoying at times. I know this is a different part of him that didn't show up in the other world and shows how he's now coming to grips with what he's become, and the fact he's always changing and making the tough decisions. like Greg says though, he needs to just man up a bit like Farrah and hey on with it.
I'm disappointed with the lack of air time for Taika which I can say is made up for especially in book 9, so if you're like me in this book thinking good character is great and needs more air time then just you wait. his Garuda confluence is a beast. enough of spoilers. I did enjoy this book, just not as much as the ones before or after. book 6 has a great beginning to Jason's new powers he's developing and is probably my best book where he's on earth. like he said good old monster hunting as an adventure saving earth.

another quality book
