I felt that Mat gave lots of new advice in this book. Those who follow his YouTube channel will recognise a lot of this advice already, but there is certainly some new content in here that’s worth checking out.
I still feel Mat only brushed the surface. He doesn’t go to the darker or harder places of being a high level athlete, and doesn’t give a great amount of detail regarding his training. Everything is almost too neatly packaged. I wanted all the guts and sticky bits but I guess that’s too uncomfortable to share.
I liked the parts where he talked about training with Tia.
Mat delivers good advice but still keeps cards hidden.
