Taking themselves so seriously And totally lacking in humour. Even so -Yes I will read other books by her and trust as time goes by she will she'll find greater depth.
My Family and Other Animals is a better example of survival on unfamiliar ground.
I think the writer is trying to make a living rather than writing to the best of her ability which is perfectly understandable however I can't help feeling she is capable of much stronger stuff.
