My friend recommended this series and I have not been disappointed. Well narrated by Victor Bevine, this traditional fantasy offers a lovely escape from reality

I have never had a forgotten realms book or audiobook that I could fault and I have a lot of them. They are in depth and amazing stories. Also the areas of drizzt's journals are very philosophical

Faster paced than the first, with interesting enemies and friends, great story, little predictable, narrator could have varied the voices a little more

I have now binged the first 2 books in this trilogy. I'm about to start book 3. loving everything so far. If it keeps up like this I might look at getting started on the other sets in the legend of drizzzt series.

There is so much tragedy and sorrow in this book, but throughout the trials Drizzts hope is infectious. It is masterfully written and a great insight into the underdark and the horrors within.
