Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Rachel Van Dyken comes the third book in the best-selling Eagle Elite series.

"As burns this saint, so burns my soul. I enter alive, and I will have to get out dead."

Chase Winter let the love of his life slip through his fingers and into the hands of his best friend and Mafia boss of the Abandonato family. Now that he's been given a second chance to right a wrong, he refuses to let his own selfishness stand in the way. The only problem is that he's not fully in possession of his heart. So when he is asked for a favor by Mil De Lange - the girl who's innocence he stole and who is heir to the worst of the worst Mafia families in the United States - he says yes, not realizing that that one yes has the power to destroy them all.

Mil has been in love with Chase Winter as long as she can remember, but as the years went by, love turned into hate. And now that he's agreed to help her, she's wondering if she made a fatal error because Chase isn't a teenager anymore. He's a hot-blooded male, bent on owning every part of her, body and soul, and he's willing to kill anyone in his path who dares stand in the way.

Secrets will finally be revealed - but make no mistake, it's going to take a lot of bloodshed for those truths to be discovered.

You've never listened to a new-adult Mafia story like this before. Loyalties will be tested, lovers reunited, and friendships obliterated. Welcome to the Family. Blood in - no out.

If I could give the narrators more than 5 stars, I would

Oh wow! This series just gets better and better, I have no words. I am completely and utterly in love with Chase Winter. I love this series, I especially love the multiple POVs, in some stories they can be confusing and frustrating, but Rachel Van Dyken has nailed them, Chase, Mil, Nixon and Tex, all spot on. Following Phoenix's death Mil becomes head of the DeLuca family and for her own protection she marries Chase, her first and only love. Chase is still getting over losing Trace and struggling to understand the feelings he has for Mil, add into the mix the many 'family' complications and the gang are facing their biggest threat yet, the Sicilians. I love the writing, the story and I am fully invested with this young group of mob bosses, I love that all the stories flow together, yet are still standalone. Onward and upward, book 4 here I come.

Let this listen entice you

Have book 1 and 2 in paperback. Had to get this one in Audio.
This story is about Chase and Mil. You meet Chase in book 1 with Nixon.
Chase always seems to come through for Nixon. It’s great that he gets his own story .
Chase had to come through for Nixon , but he got himself in a bind falling for Nixon’s love .
But there is a catch to save the family from someone high up in Italy. He needs to marry Mil

Grab it and find out why

The Plot Thickens as the Family Tree Expands....

Book 3 of The Eagle Elite series is focused on Chase and Mil. I feel like this is a pivotal point in the series because from here on out each book gets more and more complicated and intense. Chase is coming to terms with his feelings for Trace as he finds himself falling for Mil. Going back and rereading/listening to the Audible of Eagle Elite makes me feel amazed at the characters and how they're developing through each story and how they have come full circle over and over again. I have been enjoying the Audible version. The narrators, Jack DuPont, Suzanne Elise Freeman, Andrew Eiden, and Jeremy York kept me engaged and wanting more!

"I close my eyes... finally releasing the last part of me that was clinging to Trace. And when I open my eyes? I felt like I could soar, as male looked up through thick black eyelashes, asking me the question every girl does when she's in a vulnerable Position. Will you love me? Will you leave me? Or will you give me your body while you take all of mine?"

There are also many lines that make me think about the stories to come. I don't know if Rachel Van Dyken realized that as she wrote book 3 there would be lines/quotes that referenced actions or situations that would come to fruition in book 5 or 7 or 9. Brilliant, Sexy, violent and captivating!

under par for this series

Tex was the best part of this and it wasn't his story. chase got so tedious. "I love trace, no, I love Mil. no I love trace with all my heart but I'm IN love with Mil" whatever. looking forward to Tex's story.

Great read.

Oh, the web we weave. I have a feeling this series is going to gut me, spit me out, and piece me back together just to do it all over again and again. I love the characters, the connection, and the family they have created. This was an action-packed, intense read, and I can't wait for the next book.

The narrators did a great job.

Fallen for Chase.

I love every minute of this book!!! I didn’t like Phoenix or her sister, Mil in the other books! However, the more and more you discover their family, you start getting to realize what type of mafia family they are & it’s the ugliest. Based on how they grew up, I started to understand the dynamics of how they can be...or heck, how all of them can be. So, I started to understand Phoenix and started to have a heart for the guy. Overall, I truly dig the crew: Nixon, Trace, Tex, Mo, Chase & Mil. The story plot thickens and Chase & Mil got it going on!!!!! I might be bias due to the fact I like Chase since book 1...but man, this book is his story and it’s just soooooo good! 5 out of 5 stars for me.
