Described by his father as his "most precious jewel", Edward’s birth in 1537 marked the end of Henry VIII’s quest to procure a son and heir to continue the Tudor dynasty.

I found this a very interesting account of the life of Edward VI. I have recently listened to many books on the Tudor Dynasty, many by Alison Weir, also The Wars of the Roses and Wolf Hall, which I loved. And I was looking for a book to continue this history into the reign of Edward VI. This was a very well written book, I very much enjoyed listening, and I learnt a lot. The narration was also excellent by Paul Draper. I'm now going to listen to Innocent Traitor by Alison Weir on the life of Lady Jane Grey. 🕯📚 👑
